Passwords come in great numbers these days, since you need to create an online account for just about anything. Sticky Password Pro has been designed as a safe place to store sensitive information, passwords in particular. As always, we have 50 licenses to spare.

All you need to do is drop a few lines in the comments section below this article. Make them as memorable and original as possible to increase your wining chances. Try to come up with posts as different as possible from the others.

Sticky Password Pro (reviewed here) is priced at $29.99 (€23.95), and comes with full support for all popular web browsers. This means that it can automatically fill in online forms and account credentials regardless of the browser you use.

Additionally, it can also be used with a set of desktop applications.

All stored information is secured using top notch encryption algorithms that can create keys up to 8192-bit. Among the algorithms used, there is Rijandael, Twofish, Blowfish, Gost and Saphire II.

Management of the stored items is available in the application, so you can organize the elements into categories or groups. To keep it safe, the database can be locked automatically after a user-defined period of time. Exporting the database to different formats (CSV, HTML, TXT) is supported.

G'Day,
This is an excellent password manager, i got a free licence for version 4 and liked it soooo much that i bought a version 5 licence. I used to use another popular password manager, but their licencing model was becoming too restrictive so i have permanently changed to Sticky Password Pro (very generous licencing model) and haven't looked back.
Don't count me in for this, i just wanted to recommend this product and if you don't win a licence have a look around, as it does appear on discount sites at good prices and it is nice to support a small developer with a good application and fair licencing models. (No i don't work for or have any other associations with Sticky password Pro, just a satisified customer).

Good Luck to All.

Comment #6 by: Ullebe1 on 26 Oct 2011, 11:29 UTC reply to this comment

I really hope I win one of the 50 licenses. I have been using Sticky Password 4 in the past, but since I can't seem to get it to work with the newer versions of Firefox, I would really like to win this price. It would help me a lot, as I really like to have secure passwords, but it is simply too much of a hassle if I have to remember them all. I am currently testing LastPass, but Sticky Password is so much more useful to me because of the support for desktop applications, which is really useful for Truecrypt volumes, Trillian, etc. And I also like the 8192bit encryption of the Sapphire II algorithm, which IMHO is overpowered, but I still use it, just because its bad- * .

If you have ever been locked out of an account because you can't remember your password then you understand the need to be able to retrieve passwords. Sticky Password Pro generates complex passwords and locks them up for you in a military-grade secure database. This password management software also fills in long online forms automatically and protects you from keyloggers and phishing cons.
Sticky Password Pro has all the tools you need to free you from the burden of remembering usernames and passwords and the tedium of completing long online forms. This password manager can organize and securely save credit card info, online bank logins, website logins, personal notes, personal information and email logins. Since it creates templates, it can save any type of personal information. It can also support multiple identities, so you can distinguish between personal and business Twitter accounts, for example.

A license of Sticky Password Pro also includes the secure portable version. The portable version of the password manager with your information can stay on a USB drive. You can connect this drive to any PC and access your accounts and use Sticky Password just as you would on your own PC. The portable and the PC versions can synchronize so you can keep both versions current easily. This software also has the ability to export database files to an iPhone.

This password manager is exceptionally simple to use. Sticky Passwords works with all of the popular browsers. It can also import favorites from your browser or other password managers, including Roboform, KeePass and LastPass.

Another feature that saves your time and energy is the option to automatically add new accounts to Sticky Password. To speed up the process it can fill in the forms for you. Simply go to the new site login page, have Sticky Password fill the form in for you, add a new password (which it can generate for you) and then opt to have Sticky Password create a new login account.

Lamantine Software takes security seriously so it uses military-grade security encryption in the software. Some may have apprehension about trusting one application to manage all personal and sensitive information such as bank account numbers, SSNs, bank logins, online shopping accounts and email clients. This apprehension is warranted, therefore Sticky Password incorporates AES encryption and strong passwords to protect data. You can log in to this password manager with one master password. For added security Sticky Password does not save your master password. You have to remember it and you are the only one who can share that information.

Humans are not usually proficient databases and remembering complex passwords is difficult for most. Consequently, the passwords that we use and remember may include children's birthdays, pet names or favorite sports teams. Unfortunately, these types of passwords are the easiest to guess. To combat those who may try to guess your passwords, Sticky Passwords has a password generator that can create passwords that are nearly impossible to guess. The strong passwords this software generates can incorporate a mixture of symbols, numbers, and uppercase and lowercase letters. You can also select the password length.

This password manager can also protect you from keyloggers and phishing scams. Since this software automatically logs in for you without the use of the keyboard, keyloggers cannot capture your keystrokes. And if you need to enter information you can use the virtual keyboard that blocks keyloggers and masks keystrokes. Phishing sites are those that mimic a genuine login page in order to attempt to capture personal information or passwords. Since this password manager automatically launches the site you assign to a username and login, it bypasses the problem of landing on a false login page. For example, sometimes you may accidentally land on a false webpage that looks like your regular login page, but it is not, it is a phishing site intended to steal your information. Sticky Password can help you avoid this bad situation.
Sticky Password Pro is one of the easiest-to-use password managers. This software helps you create secure, complicated passwords and it saves you time by filling in online forms automatically. Lamantine Software has included with this software powerful encryption abilities that can secure your sensitive information from hackers or from your kids trying to guess your Netflix password. No matter what type of technology hackers come up with next, Sticky Password Pro can protect you.i love sticky password!!! and happy birthday softpedia

Comment #19 by: Inside8 on 26 Oct 2011, 12:26 UTC reply to this comment

Why do I think Sticky Password most promising program in its class?
- This program is developing dynamically. Early (beginning of 2011), I had often seen various bugs. For example, in cases of discharge from the memory (in Windows 7). Now this software is very stable.
- instantaneous reaction to the updated browser. The new version of the password manager (update) go very quickly in such cases.
- Undocumented features. For example, it works fine with passwords in OneNote.

This is not an attempt to praise or to advertise, but a review based on personal experience.
Would like the new Sticky Password with synch browsing history and bookmarks.

Thank you for your attention, and yes, my English is not very good:)

All passwords are pasted when you want to log. Perfectly integrates with your browser and everything is very smooth. I think this is a very practical program and everyone should have it. I am using the trial version and I am very pleased with it, very useful soft. Congratulations for organizing such a great giveaway Softpedia.

After trying & testing majority of password managers, Free and Shareware that are currently available. I can say that Sticky Password Pro is very functional and easy to use. Further more Sticky Password Pro also includes a portable USB version.
Sticky Password Pro features include:
Secure Memos (just like Ascendo DataVault and Ewallet)
Auto Fill / Login (just like RoboForm and 1password)
Virtual Keyboard / Hot Keys (just like Password Safe and Kaspersky Password Manager)
Sticky Password Pro offers 7 types of encryption for your password database. It also has an iPhone version with Bluetooth authorization.
I currently use trial version on my desktop and laptop with dropbox for sync and it's perfect.

Pros: Dropbox sync but not with portable USB version of Sticky Password.
You can create a .vbs script to silently install and uninstall every 28 days before trial expires, and with database restore function within the script.
Physical password manager, not cloud or web based.
Easy to use and access password generator

Cons: No blackberry version.
No multi platform version. (like 1password)
Unable to sync portable USB version using Dropbox.
Conclusion:
I love it. It's very easy use, even my grandmother use it. But $50.00 for 3 license or $30.00 for 1 license with update support. I recommend buying a 3 license package if you have grandmother with HSN addiction ( lol ) or 2 license package since most of us have more then 1 computer.
OR
If you are strap for cash and unemployed like yours truly, leave me your email address in the comment and I will forward my .vbs scripts for Sticky Password Pro trial.

Thank you,

Comment #32 by: TheMokoda on 26 Oct 2011, 14:00 UTC reply to this comment

Hey, you might have read from time to time articles touting the importance of passwords and keeping them strong and secure. The problem is that many times these articles are many paragraphs long, extolling the virtues of not using stupid passwords (123456, etc) and not using your name or your favorite sports team's name or any single word from a dictionary and on and on and on and scoobie doobie doo. Then they try to come up with some clever way of creating and remembering really strong passwords. Meh. These articles need not be more than a few sentences long. Why? Because all they need to tell you is that the ideas of having both SECURITY and SIMPLICITY, when it comes to passwords, is no longer an impossibility, not with a great program like Sticky Password around.

Not only will this program offer you the benefit of storing all your passwords, but it also can CREATE truly (and I mean TRULY) strong passwords; so strong in fact that it would take 1000 computers, doing nothing 24/7 but trying to "guess" your password, about 1328 years to try all the posibilities. That's pretty darned strong! Add to that its ability to automatically pop open your browser (under your command of course), go to a web site, enter your username and password and then, lo and behold, hit the 'submit' button for you! What could be easier? Well, taking candy from a baby is easier technically, but then you don't need a password for that anyway. Just don't let an old lady with an umbrella see you do it!

And that's not all! If you call now, we'll send you not two, but THREE of these amazing...oh, wait, sorry, forgot where I was for a minute. Anyway, that's not all, Sticky Password will also allow you to securely store little bits of loose information (like that phone number you don't want your boyfriend to know about) as notes or memos. All this is protected from prying meddlers with just ONE password. Now, let's not be too lazy about this; you DO have to remember one, but only one, really strong password, and that's the one that unlocks Sticky Password's secure database, that's holding all your other amazingly strong passwords. Be careful though, this is REAL security, not your dad's Oldsmobile; if you forget your "Master" password, you're toast, because even the folks at Lamantine, who make this powerful, easy-to-use program, can't crack into your secure database, so please, don't forget that master password!

Sticky Password is powerful, light on your computer resources, very easy to learn and use, inexpensive, has a nice, clean interface, is non-fattening and does not contribute to tooth decay. Try it and take the worry out of online data security, and the hassle out of password protection. There's even a free version if you just want the basics. Now you can't beat that. Well, you can, but it would take some wine and soft music to do that.

I have an elephant in the room at my office that I paid thousands of dollars for because they're supposed to never forget. All I can say is that I've been more disappointed with this elephant as a password manager than with anything I've ever purchased. I've told him tons of passwords and he hasn't remembered one! I don't really want to talk about him because he's standing in the corner over there looking at me, but he eats like a horse and that doesn't come cheap either.
Anyway, I like the fact that Sticky Password Pro also can be used with desktop applications rather than just internet browsers. Very nice!

Sticky Password is an application to store passwords in an intelligent form-filling function. This program saves us entered the login and password, and then tells them when we need to fill out the form again. The program allows you to enter passwords through a virtual keyboard, also has a built-in strong password generator.

Sticky Password can be used on any computer, any license program also includes a portable version that can be installed on a USB stick for example.

Sorry for my English. I use Google Translator.

Happy Anniversary to Softpedia.

I have always used a password manager of one kind or another. The name of this software is what I like - it invokes a mental picture of a piece of paper with passwords, where someone has been eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and got some jelly on the pgae. Now it is all sticky and everytime you hold it, it sticks to your hand or fingers and you can't put it down, so you end up laying it on the desk, placing your elbow on it and pulling your hand away, only to look at the desk and realize, now it is stuck to your elbow! - you certainly won't forget your passwords, they are attached to your elbow! :)

Thank you for great giveaway.
Now I use KeePass but I prefer Sticky Password Pro.
Why? Because Sticky Password Pro is a safe place to store sensitive information, passwords in particular, of course KeePas too, but ...
Sticky Password Pro
1) Sticky Password Pro work with almoste all webbrowsers
2) The database can be locked automatically after a user-defined period of time
3) Sticky Password Pro offer exporting the database to different formats (CSV, HTML, TXT) is supported.
4) Additionally, it can also be used with a set of desktop applications
5) Sticky Password Pro has a lot of encryption algorithms

But most importantly for me is that

6) Sticky Password Pro lets you conveniently manage passwords
and
7) Sticky Password Pro automatically fill in online forms and account credentials regardless of the browser you use.
Thank you for great giveaway and please, count me in.

When someone loses a password, trying to recover it makes them looks like hackers "fool ones of course, as they fail 95% of the time, frustrating, I know"

So, that sounds really like as if it can save the time required for fool-hacking into lost accounts :D, one license and no need for more fool-hacking.

Comment #67 by: Ullebe1 on 26 Oct 2011, 19:31 UTC reply to this comment

Comment #68 by: antonytony on 26 Oct 2011, 19:32 UTC reply to this comment

There are two things that probably most of us hate online.
1. Remembering site logins and email passwords for tons of accounts and sites
2. Filling in forms which keep asking the same details.

These features are some what integrate into modern browsers like chrome, firefox, IE, etc. But these dont guarantee safety and accuracy of filled data. So Sticky password comes to the rescue. It is one of the best password managers available with tons of features. It supports all the known and unpopular browsers so we can use it in any browser of our choice. It also supports tons of applications such as windows live messenger, yahoo messenger, trillian, skype, the bat................

It currently ranks 2 in top 10 review, but it has powerful features when compared to its rival. It even offers a portable version and mobile version which syncs all details and can be used in a portable usb stick or drive to use it wherever we want. This extra feature is available at no extra cost.

Coming to the features, sticky password automatically recognizes and uses the stored passwords for email, bank , messaging via messengers, websites ,credit card payment and securely logins . It prevents phishing and keylogging. It can recognize fake sites and stores the info securely. The data is well encrypted using military grade algorithms so only we can use it. It also includes a password generator which generates passwords randomly which is impossible for guessing. So only master password needs to be known, it is not even known to the program, so it is fail proof.

The program also has the ability to retrieve passwords and form fill data from all the browsers, applications including other password management solutions.

The virtual keyboard makes it more secure, no more keys to log, sad time for keyloggers. But they get advanced day by day, so it is updated regularly which is free.

Next about form filling , sticky password uses a bit of artificial intelligence for accurate detection of form labels and fills them in no time. Multiple profiles can be kept for different accounts/data.

The interface is simple and easy to use even for novice users. It is accessed by the press of a button on top.

If we want we can export all the data to files such as csv.

Overall it is a very good program rated 5 stars by nearly all of the major reviewers and websites , and its price is reasonable. It is the best of its kind. And thanks to softpedia for giving this program in giveaway. I missed the previous giveaway of this product but hope to get this one.... Thnkx.....

Softpedia is providing free licenses for all the pros, professionals, ultras, powers, smarts, etc. for the 10th anniversary. And look at CNET Download.com, there is nothing even on the 15th anniversary, except a little 15th anniversary picture at the top. Softpedia really cares for us.

My last rhyme made me so much fun,
so I try a second run.

Today it's Sticky Password Pro in the line,
which is created to save you time.

It stores your passwords in a safe
and protects them very brave.

It logs you in automatically,
easiness is its successful key.

Forgotten passwords are no longer a disaster,
cause Sticky Password is your key master.

It even helps you filling formulars out with only a click
that makes your registration and shopping easy & quick.

At any time a new strong password is required,
it is created as desired.

Don't strip off your privacy trousers,
Sticky Password is safer than your browsers.

Not even phishing and keyloggers have a chance,
it protects you in advance.

Get organized at home and away,
a portable version is also available hurray.

Its GUI is handy and very neat,
one single master password is the only you need.

I think these are enough rhyming efforts,
or in other words:

It would be great to win and get the opportunity to use this tool which will

[L]og me in at sites
[A]utomatically with only one
[M]aster Password needed
[A]nd there is
[N]o more danger
[T]hrough phishing and keyloggers cause there
[I]s
[N]othing
[E]specially at keybord to record.

Also
[S]hopping & registration is easily done through
[O]ne-click
[F]orm filling
[T]ool
[W]ith
[A]bility for
[R]ecording and pasting information into
[E]very formular.

Thanks Softpedia and Lamantine Software for this giveaway.

I will be honest maybe too much indeed. I did not use or try this software before, I even was not aware that it even exists as I had never heared of it. As shocking and surprising this admission might seem, I was surprized with the capabilities and possibilties this app can provide. As a matter of fact, after 5 minutes on googling it ,, I can say , it is just brilliant no matter what, and knowing that a software like this exist on the planet is a fullfill reward by its self

Comment #81 by: mkg_just4u on 27 Oct 2011, 00:30 UTC reply to this comment

I had not used Sticky Password Pro before. But, just few hours ago, I tried it. It is excellent. It is a need for this age. It is very difficult to remember so many passwords all the time. So, it is a great software for managing our all password related burdens. It is good for remembering difficult passwords of emails, social network, online banking and shopping. It creates great, complex and strong passwords instantly. On the other hand, it is a great form filler. It saves time a lot. In present days, time is the most precious thing. So, it saves the most precious. It is portable as well. It saves from phising sites and key loggers. It uses most advanced encryption algorithm. It creates automatic logging facilities of various websites. It supports almost all web browsers. We can also export and import our personal data to another computer. In short, it is a great assistant for our passwords and time. I would be a lucky one to get its life time licence. Hopefully looking forward to grab it. And, finally happy birthday to softpedia. And, happy diwali 2011 to all....

HAS ANYONE EVER REALLY WON ANY FREE LICENSES FROM THESE GIVEAWAYS? I HAVE BEEN IN THE TOP 50 OR 20 DEPENDING ON WHAT THEY HAD, AND GAVE MORE THAT JUST A LAME COMMENT LIKE "I WANT IT" AND AFTER 5 TIMES I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING. CAN ANYONE ELSE VERIFY THEY HAVE "WON" SOMETHING? - Im sure this comment wont get posted because of the scrutiny of the people that choose if a comment gets posted or not, do not want people asking if anything fishy is going on here

Ok, enough of that silliness. If you are still reading, I have a password program with my internet security suite that I use, and have played with a few freeware ones as well. Tried Sticky Password trial today and it is not even in the same class. I mean this is the Swiss army knife of secure portable databases. Yah, it saves passwords and autofills, but just LOOK at the rest.

Web accounts, application accounts, 23 built in memo groups, 10 preconfigured data templates, Identities section (contacts anyone)..., I can keep memos, shopping lists, finance, licenses, whatever You can think of They already have. Did I mention Portable? Must have, just forgot, that's all.

See, my brain is a just a squishy bodge of discombobulated synapses without Sticky Password. When Bioengineering wetware takes off, this is the first app implant I'm lining up for. Until then an old-fashioned software license to hold me over would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for once again exposing me to another great app and Happy Anniversary to all.

Comment #92 by: Grr on 27 Oct 2011, 06:31 UTC reply to this comment

Hello,

Let me first thank Softpedia for giving this opportunity to win Sticky Password PRO.

Nowadays everyone is having multiple email accounts, social networking sites, forums, etc. All this to boils down to multiple passwords, and hence a security threat. How? Because to remember so many password is tough, so most of us would drill down to either easy or same password. Right??

Please find below the pro, cons ONLY according to me/my use:

Pros:
1. Multilingual. Available in 6 languages
2. Works on iPhone also.
3. Supports all major browsers. Basically it covers what all I have heard, used and am using.
4. Supports few applications like Skype, Gtalk, Dropbox, The Bat! and Yahoo Messenger - the ones I use.
5. No special knowledge is required to use it. Simple to install and use.
6. Able to make a Portable Version.
7. Multiple ways to access/open Database: password, USB device, Bluetooth device.
8. Developer is quick to provide program updates when an application/browser is updated. Example for Firefox 6.
9. Other than online help, has a forum for support.
10. Small setup size and one-time configuration.
11. Quick access from System tray
12. Able to export database to XML format.

Cons:
1. No clarity/support for 64-bit OS.
2. No support for Microsoft Outlook which is widely used.
3. Does not support importing database from older version.
4. Online help is just the wordings and no pictures. They SHOULD add pics to make it more helpful.
5. Their website is not designed good and has lot of repetitive stuffs.

Appreciate if you could spare me a license.

Thanks,
Grr

I don't complain [yet] about forgetting my passwords, either because I don't have that many or I still manage to somehow remember them.

Haven't used Sticky Password [either edition], but I could definitely see the positives of using an application like this - the convenience of the auto-fill and logging, combined with the strong security, especially the encrypted stored information, passwords generator, the protection from keyloggers and phishing sites.

Thank you for the opportunity, Softpedia and good luck to all participating!

P.S. October has definitely been a busy month for the Softpedia Giveaway aficionados - having to come up with a comment on a daily basis made a lot of us moonlight as editors, I guess :) , having a daily deadline and attempting to post witty and original comments. Sadly, the daily giveaways [contests, rather] will finish in a few days, but we still have the awesome weekend giveaways to look forward to [don't we?]
