Very transparent and powerful protection. In one word it's a great solution and when you install it you will never think to change it.

very good security package for both beginners and experienced users...i ve tested this on my laptop with windows 7 32 bit OS... it works like a charm. Use of system resources is on "medium level"... What I noticed is that anti spam function DOESN'T work without training mode. I had also few false positives. my conclusion : go for it...i m sure you wan't be disappointed

Thank you very much for the opportunity to win such a wonderful product. I find most security suite confusing, and contain way to many features. It seams most security software vendors think the more they cram into their software the better off it will be. Which isn't always a very bright idea. All this does is make the user feel overwhelmed. This is the case for me most of the time. With Outpost Security Suite I do not feel that way. They have really put together a perfect product. I think security software should be what it says it is which is a security suite. Not a file and registry cleaner with 101 other things crammed in. I want security features. Those are the feature I want. Sometimes its the little things that count the most. In this case I really love the option to purge old firewall programs. When you are testing software this is very useful. When I first started using Outpost I emailed them and asked for the purge feature to be added like in Comodo Internet Security. Shortly after the feature was added. Got to love a company that listens to there customers. Thanks again for this opportunity.

One of the best security programs out there. Spam filtering feature is a great feature for my business.

To be honest, this is the first time I have heard about this security suite. Immediately I read the Softpedia review and came to know that it is developed by Agnitum.
After going through its review, I am pretty sure that this security suite is capable of POSTING malicious programs OUTSIDE the PC as its name suggests OUTPOST. Agnitum is working very hard on this product to bypass the competition.. But honestly their firewall is the only thing better thant the others.. Antivirus module still needs to be working on it, but I think with time it'll be one of the best security suites out there.

i was looking for another security software package to replace m****ee and noticed this article firstly by name OUTPOST SECURITY the brought images of alone defender on the edge of civilisation keeping guard over a wild frontier defending unknowing homesteeders from bandits and crooks of all discription with the only reward being the knowledge that he is proctecting the way of life so many take for granted.

he takes pride in being the best at what he does, silently fending off all who would destroy all that they could and piledge the cofers of the honest townsfolk.

and after reading the review of this security software my thoughts were confirmed and my imaginary lone guard is securly logged in my memory with the knowledge that there is such a defender on guard over the electronic frontier of the WWW and i for one feel better for it.

Well, getting nostalgic talking about this software. I am an user of Outpost Firewall since 2002, with its 1st version (still got a copy of it)! And has stuck with Outpost as the firewall of my choice ever since. The firewall is superb, very light on resources and provide very good security. The antispyware feature was added later and although scanning speeds are still a touch slower, its highly functional. Although I have never used the Antivirus, from the reviews and all, it looks to be as good as it gets. Looking forward to win a license of Outpost Security Suite Pro, to fully explore this beautiful software.

I have tried this security suit in past and the performance was quiet satisfactory. It has easy to use interface , doesn't require much configuring and most of the time run quieter in background. The detection rates did really are higher as compared to other suits i have tried. I hope that i will get the pro suit as i really liked this product at the time when i was using it.

All security software promises your security but firewall is one of the critical applications in today’s computing. To be honest I don’t feel secured running a pc/laptop without firewall. Although windows operating system comes with embedded firewall but it provides you basic protection against hackers. Most importantly, configuring windows embedded firewall is nightmare for many of us especially when it comes to opening or blocking ports or giving access to specific application or even IP. Apart from windows embedded firewall many other personal firewalls are also criticised for complex interfaces or anyhow not user friendly. I have used almost every firewall application for testing purpose. Zone Alarm basic and COMODO firewall pro was my favourite picks,
Zone Alarm basic is incredibly easy to configure and efficient but it also consume loads of system resources and badly affected the system boot up and shutdown time. Whereas COMODO firewall pro user interface is quite confusing and not very easy to configure.

As a writer internet security has always been a major concern for me as I do a lot of reserch on the net. there are so many to chose from like Norton's, McAfee and of course Microsoft Essentials just to name a few. So what am I to do. Whom do I trust? So I asked around and did a little research on the subject and Outpost Security was mention not once but by severeal persons all which gave a very high recomendation. The only thing left is to simply try it myself and see if it is as good as eveyone had said.

when it comes to security and firewall outpost has a long successful track. I'm not an advance user but The firewall just makes u feel safe.It's really a must have suite. The program, to put it simple, is heavy on malware light on pc resources.

Agnitum, makers of the best software based Firewall/Hips ever (my opinion). Been using the free lesser versions for long time and for different purposes. I also used to have a Pro license before but am currently using Comodo. Would love to get back to using Agnitum.

I tried many internet security services since 2007 and found some weak points; so this one sounds very good. I hope it could work for me. Congradulations for 10 year anniversary!!!

some of my friends think that firewall that is given in some well-known antivirus software such as Kaspersky, Bitdefender or Gdata are good enough. However, after 3 months using Outpost Security Suite Pro, I could see clearly that this product could protect my PC as good as others. It is strong and smart software, it is not easy for me for the first time using it, but after days I believe that it could be an alternative product that I could count on. So I vote for Agnitum's products.

I also tried the free version and it worked really great on my old pc and on my Gamers PC. One thing I liked about this application is, that, it could work on "slow" computers. Very minimal requirements, yet comprehensive protection. Great!

OSS PRO is a suite of contrasting modules. Although VB100 certified, its anti-malware engine is just about adequate. But where this suite shines is the Proactive Protection, with an excellent firewall and a very strong HIPS.

The firewall has been widely recognized as one of the best out there, in the esteemed company of OA, Comodo and Privatefirewall. Helpful functionality to automatically create rules for well known applications - "presets" [for example, "TuneUp", "Opera Browser"], which are updated through ImproveNet. Alternatively, the rules can be created manually through a very thorough process. Worth mentioning is the support IP blocklists.

The system is stealthed by default, and there is also the Attack Detection, where you can specify attacks to block, specific ports you want monitored closely [including port weighing], ARP cache and various Ethernet/Wi-Fi attack settings.

Another excellent feature of OF is the Firewall Policy, where you can select from Block All, Block Most [only existing rules are applied, any other activity is blocked without prompting], Rules Wizard, Allow Most and Allow All.

The HIPS is very fast and powerful, and generally considered among the best in the field. Impressive addition is the improved keylogger and screenlogger protection. Further improvements in usability were introduced in 7.5, with redesigned prompts, displaying more detailed information about the parent processes of the action in question. Also, the prompts now have a different colored header, again, based on the actions' severity.

It's a very logical and well integrated set, with Anti-Leak, System and Application Guard, File and Folder Lock, Removable Media Protection. Each of these can be turned on/off and settings separately customized, according to your preferences.
Another welcome usability improvement was the introduction of the Purge functionality [in Settings-> Application Rules], allowing quick removal of non-existent entries, as opposed to the tedious manual process.

And overall, the outright speed and responsiveness has been substantially improved in 7.5.

With most of its idiosyncrasies fixed [except the need for better AM engine], I wouldn't hesitate to include OSS PRO in my security setup, given a chance.

I think that products like these really do wonders as compared to microsoft essentials and that I may have good use for it as a first time user of such a product, it can also help protect my friends and my PC when we are playing LAN games

OSS uses a lot of resources .... anti virus is not his strongest weapon .... though the firewall strongest in the whole story ... one if not the best on the whole market ..

Well, this is quite a good idea to canvas the product as well as company itself. But my interest particularly in this regard is to get a license code for security pro by posting a comment. My view for the article is that any security ware would be of great beneficial if it is beig updated at regular base. I think this ware would also be rocking for malware security of PCs.

I always had a negative impression for full fledged security suites because some of them require lots and lots of configuration and i also had to look out for popup messages flashing in almost every second.But Today ,Net is no Heaven security is your primary concern.Out post has always stood out from other security suites as it requires less configuration and is efficient.

very good security package for both beginners and experienced users...i ve tested this on my laptop with windows 7 32 bit OS... it works like a charm. Use of system resources is on "medium level"... What I noticed is that anti spam function .....
