Our giveaway campaign today features another product from Ashampoo, the Burning Studio 10 package. The 50 licenses we have for the product have to be paired with 50really original comments posted below this article.

So start warming up your fingers and drop some crazy lines if you want to eliminate competition and grab a free key for the product; get as creative as you can, the goal is to divert our attention from other posts.

Priced $49.99 (€49.99) Ashampoo Burning Studio (reviewed here) is much more than just a disc burning utility as it integrates backup and restore features and video previewing capabilities. Also, it puts at your disposal the necessary means to create original menus for DVDs.

The autoplay editor allows you to build data discs with custom multi-page menus that start automatically when you insert the disc. With the built-in audio player (ripping music is also in the feature set) you can listen to music straight from the application.

Its media authoring abilities extend to building up slideshows you can burn on DVDs or Blu-ray discs complete with titles, transitions and background music. And to make the authoring process complete, Burning Studio 10 can also be used to create covers and labels for the resulting discs.

Comment #3 by: Sid_7 on 14 Oct 2011, 11:36 UTC reply to this comment

Hello.
I have been using Ashampoo's feature-reduced Ashampoo Burning Studio Elements for last 4 months or so. Its the ONLY burning software I have & use - besides the built-in burning of Windows OS. And that's simply because its so reliable.
Now, I love the idea of getting a license for Ashampoo Burning Studio 10 since I love to indulge in audio and video authoring!
Ofcourse, there are free alternatives like DVD Styler or DVD Flick, etc., but they have several limitations & Ashampoo's Burning Studio 10 will give a full set of features in one place.
Another important point is, BS10 is not bloated. Roxio or Nero can give you even more features, but it all amounts to 'fringe benefits' & lots of bloat IMO [& I say this from experience; more than just few will also concur].
If I get a license, Ashampoo Burning Studio 10 will be all that I would require for all my burning & authoring needs!
Thank you very much.
Sid_7.

Ashampoo Burning Studio 10 is an application designed to burn many types of CD / DVD / Blu-ray.

The program has features such as recording, creating and editing ISO, BIN and ASHDISK, erase rewritable media (CD-RW, DVD-RW), different kinds of copying discs, make movies (VideoCD, DVD Video, Video VCD / SVCD), CDs (audio CD, MP3, WMV). Ashampoo Burning Studio offers the added option of creating and restoring backup data on your hard drive with the encryption and compression.

Using the program is very simple and limited mostly to state data (files, folders) that are to be recorded on a portable drive. The program offers an additional function of ripping CDs to MP3 format.

Sorry for my English. I use Google Translator

I’m a great fan of Ashampoo products. Some time ago, I have Ashampoo Burning Studio 9.12 installed om my PC, and it’s a great program. Now I have the Ashampoo Burning Elements installed. It’s a great program too, but this version doesn’t have the video editing function. So, it will be great if I have to chance to win to full product. Please, count me in!

Comment #15 by: Ashwin on 14 Oct 2011, 12:12 UTC reply to this comment

I haven't used Ashampoo Burning Studio 10, but am using Burning Studio Elements. (along with Imageburn on my other computers).

There is only one way I can praise Ashampoo Burning Studio, by saying that it is much better than Imageburn or Nero. It has a user-friendly interface and has a lot of features. Mostly I use it to burn Data dvds from my folders and bootable discs from ISO files.

There is one unusual thing I have noticed while using Burning Studio Elements. Erasing a disc which was burnt with BS is faster than erasing a disc burned using other softwares. I have observed it many times. Sometimes it takes a lot of time to erase such discs, but it works just fine.

I wish they had a free version with ads or limited features. Could use it on my other computers too :)

I have been using Roxio Creator that was pre-installed on my computer for 4 years. It works fine but I see there are many new functions that have been added to the burning suites in the last few years. I don't like trialware so I have been sticking to what I've got. I'd like to have a new burning program. Maybe, I'll be lucky enough to win this suite. Thanks!

Hello pls include me in this giveaway. Thanks to softpedia for giving away such a wonderfull software. I love ashampoo burning studio for one major reason that i can easily create multisession disks. It Iso burning capabilities are comendeble. To make a backup of my pc i used Nero to create it and burn it. Nero wasted about 8of DVDS which could not be ever written again. Nero always used to take forever to write the lead out. That is why is preffer ashampoo which took care of my backup easily which spawned multiple disks. Ashampoo also has copied many of my school plays and movie dvds. Asampoo is one great software with a Nero like interface. Although roxio and cyberlink are there they are all bloatwares of abv 500mb. I hope that ashampoo partners with dvd writer making companies like nero and powerdvd do to make their product available on oem disks. THnx i would love to win a key. :-)

Ive been a nero by ahead disciple for many years no matter how unstable and glitchy the software became. Unlike the product by ahead it seems functionality has been combined with accessability in the latest version of Ashampoo perhaps now i'll use "Ashampoo" to wash nero out of "ahead" namely mine!!!!

Thanks for organising this giveaway.
Ashampoo Burning Studio 10 is the bomb for recording video in HD. I have yet to find a program that even comes close to the features offered and the easy-to-use interface. If Nero is Ashampoo’s competition, Nero is a toddler and Ashampoo Burning Studio is the grandfather of CD and DVD copying and burning. I speak from experience, since I have Nero and the trial verson of Ashampoo Burning Studio 10. There IS no comparison.
I would love to give it a try.

Comment #107 by: zzzrrr1 on 14 Oct 2011, 16:27 UTC reply to this comment

Ashampoo Burning Studio users always remain loyal to the program, and there are reasons: speed, efficiency and ease of use. For several years, developers have turned Ashampoo program in a complete set of tools for burning and mastering CD and DVD drives, data recording, music and video files, but left it very easy to use. In version 10, there are many new features and modules, but the program still simple to use: all due to the extent of the program.

Ashampoo Is a Great Software Company. In the past I have used their firewall for XP with anti-virus & Malware. I currently have their Snap 4, the latest PhotoCommander & Burning Studio 2010. I would love to have the upgrade to Burning Studio 10 and am looking to get WinOptimizer 8 from them in the future. Long live Ashampoo!!!

Comment #109 by: Kriss_Hietala on 14 Oct 2011, 16:36 UTC reply to this comment

Ashampoo - that name just stands for itself. You can buy their products without even testing :p Until now I had no issues with burning DVDs using ashampoo. The are lots of available features so you can burn everything in every possible way. Only your hardware is limiting you ;p On the other hand... if you don't need all that features then you can burn a CD with just 4 clicks! It's awesome for lazy assess like me :P Though most don't notice - Ashampoo works well with 64BIT systems as well as with wine/Crossover. SO it's another point, why ashampoo it's worth its price.

Hello, softpedia. Once again very very happy happy birthday to you. Today's give away is also impressive. Ashampoo is indeed a famous software making company. It is known for its famous product "Ashampoo Burning Studio". Ashampoo is expert in this field. It is also one of the members of Blu-ray Disc Association.
I have used the trial version of Ashampoo Burning Studio. It is nice and simple to use. It contains all the basic features which optical disc authoring program should contain. It has no unnecessary burdens on the pc. I have also used Nero, so, in comparision with it, it is lightweight.
Moreover, Ashampoo Burning Studio 10 is latest and very developed. It is master in features related to blu-ray disc. It supports various HD. Like, blu-ray HD, Full HD, NTSC, PAL, etc. Creating and previewing movies directly is very easy. One of its best features is its theme and graphics. Its buttons are of geometric design and with 3D effect. And, its theme and background changes in different menu. Videos can be encoded and re-encoded with ease. It can also create virtual Disc Image as output. And, another best feature is compression. It can compress large video files to fit in a disc without damaging its quality greatly. When a disc is inserted in pc then it automatically starts recommended actions. It also rips CDs very well. It supports multi session burning. It can also erase rewriteable discs. And, one of the funny feature, it helps creating covers and labels with great options. It is very fast. It has also won so many awards.
So, finally, I would find myself a lucky one, if I could win one of the licences. Enjoying with softpedia....

Ashampoo Rocks, great software, intuitive, innovative, robust and light on computer resources...and, the company also sponsors beautiful babes from Miss Germany (MMM MMM MMM).

Unlike other burning applications that have become pure bloatware (Ahhemmm - Nero anyone?), Ashampoo burning studio is light on resources and does so much more, like author and edit video's. Other burning alternatives also expect you to find and download plug-in's if you wanted to burn alternative codec's, such as flac's - Ashampoo burning studio provides this out of the box...No messing around, just clean, powerful software that's easy to use.

Some feedback for Ashampoo because this promo should also be about "give and take". One feature lacking in version 10 was that it lacked AVCHD. If it had AVCHD, then I would have gladly bought it. Let's hope version 11 provides you with the ability to burn/author AVCHD DVD's - therefore, if I have the opportunity to own a license of version 10, I'll be able to give it a good test run and gladly upgrade to version 11 if has a few more valueable features/enhancements (such as AVCHD).

Thank You Ashampoo and keep up the good work Softpedia.

This software is really a "more bang to the buck" as it is packed with features and yet sold with cheaper price than its "fiery" rival. One particular greatness is its consistence on simplicity, which newbies favor of course. The German footprint of simplicity that Ashampoo has also viewable from its other products. Ashampoo rocks!

Tried Nero, free burner and a host of others. I ended up with Ashampoo 7 an older version which whipped the thers all ends up.
My experience thus far is described as follows:
Beyond imagination, technologically innovative and universally rated. Uniquely packaged features. I am stuck with this permanently.

Ashampoo put a smile on my face the other day. Used 7zip to encrypt and compress a lot of old data so I could archive it to DVD. Used the 7zip default setting to split to volumes of 4480 to span DVD for the large directories. Bundled Powertogo said the files were to big for Joliet try udf - still no go. Tried bundled DVD Suite Deluxe - nope.

Ashampoo Burning Studio Elements trial saved the day. Burned no problem, verified and tested. Could have even used the built in spanning capability. Without it I would have wasted the hours of compressing archives to redo a smaller size. I would love a chance to play with the full Studio and see how many more smiles I can get. Some days that is just what you need.

Happy Birthday!
Ashampoo Burning Studio 10 chic program - I used to use Nero, but downloading the program was really surprised by its functionality and stayed on it. Now write down disks with different content - a very different format (movies, music. Programs, books in digital form). To me it was very useful, because I work for is very necessary since come to me a lot of people just asking for records on disks or that content.
Ashampoo Burning Studio 10 is at the forefront of the functional, it is possible to create labels all sorts of lotions as a user-friendly buttons for CD, DVD, BD in one button only, which was not in Nero (there for each separate button, which sometimes introduces error).
In Ashampoo Burning Studio 10, I found all the things for so long could not find in other programs to record. But I had a hacked version, but I would like to use a full retail, as hacked constantly flew at the right time.
I hope to receive an activation code. In advance thank you very much.

Thanks Softpedia for bringing us all another good software in your B'Day celebrations.

I gave a shot to the trial Ashampoo Burning Studio. Apart from that I have also used other burning software's such as Nero Full, Nero Lite, Burn aware, W7 default, Alcohol, and some others-which I don't even remember.

According to my use following are the strong points of Ashampoo Burning Studio: all for version 10.0.15.0 dated 2011/08/09

1. Simple layout, easy to use.
2. Handles all-Audio, video, data.
3. It is very fast and accurate on use, both for CD & DVD (no Blue Ray for me).
4. Works on 64-bit OS.
5. Multi-lingual, supports 15+ languages.
6. Better over their previous versions.
7. Able to create a VCD as well.
8. Able to rip an Audio CD.
9. Provides option to password protect the backup.
10. Now also comes with print/design labels for your disks.

Cons:
1. Unnecessary file size of 102Mb (I'm shouting).
2. Comes with by-default selected Toolbar- set as Express installation-Recommended. Also changes your homepage & default search engine.
3. Only supports CUE/BIN, ISO or Ashampoo's own ASHDISC. No other format is supported.

In a nutshell Ashampoo Burning Studio is one of the burning tool which fulfills all your needs at a single place. It is not only easy to use but also is not heavy on your system resources. It is something we all would like to have and use.

Appreciate if you could count me in this giveaway.

Thanks,
Grr

I am using the old version of Ashampoo Burning Studio (that is distributed for free) and I must say that is a quite good software. Doubtlessly Ashampoo Burning Studio is smaller, more handful and easy to use than "market leader" - Nero Burning ROM. Ashampoo developers listened the voice of computer users and made simple, light and small aplication that have essential functions without needless fireworks that nobody uses...

Ashampoo Burning Studio 10 has many interesting features ans is light on resource, for instance loads its files in under 5 seconds even on slow computers, Ashampoo has a single interface whereas other burning softwares launches separate windows thus eating more power. Also Ashampoo burns 1GO files faster compared to other well known shareware. That's what I call a software. But I can't understand how can an organisation be so merciful to endow us with 50 LICENSES OF ASHAMPOO BURNING STUDIO 10 ! The review above is so mouth watering and tempting that I can't wait for the e-mail with the license. May Softpedia have mercy on me !

I always liked Ashampoo products, especially burning software and system utilities. Those programs are the best in the category. Burning Studio has simple and good looking interface. It’s excellent burner. I would use no other. It has everything I need and more. Years ago I was using Nero but that program became real bloatware. I first started to use Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 (Free) and I immediately liked it. Simple and effective, what else to say. I am currently using version 9 and it’s absolutely great.
This will be pleased to upgrade the to the latest 10

Bye Bye Nero, here is something that do all that you can do, but better than you.

Have tried a trial version. It is just that many do not know about this software. Never lost a single DVD while burning and the performance is at par with competitors. It has a simple and user friendly which makes it suitable even for beginners. Currently using the free version. Thanks DCT, hope I will win a license :)

About myself, I am a software enthusiast who participate in different forums to learn and share knowledge. I like testing new software and reviewing them.

Thanks again.

I like this program :) . Thanks to Softpedia for another such wonderful program. Ashampoo Burning Studio 10 is the next version of the best and loved the program for recording CD / DVD / Blu-ray. It is very rich in a variety of functions. Program beyond the basic function of recording offers, erase rewritable media, ripping music from CDs to MP3 or WMA files, records VCD, SVCD and convert video, create slideshows on DVD with photos, video clips, etc.., Except that creates and records images ISO, CUE / BIN and can operate on the basis of its own data format - ASHDISC. In addition, we find the module responsible for creating and printing labels and the option to create and restore backup data. It occupies less space repeatedly in the system than its largest competitor, and as it has a similar number of tools to copy, rip, create ISO images and much more! This makes the program much better, fitter and faster. Home studio for beginners and experienced.
Ashampoo Burning Studio 10 is an image of your company - versatile, useful, indispensable ...
Thanks.

For me, Nero was the first program for burning that I used and I think it was good until I had a lot of problems with it. I don't want it anymore, now it's garbage.
Ashampoo was the next program I used and it's very good, it has everything you need for burning, it's easy to use even at first try and the most important - the burning quality it's excellent. I think that you can't go wrong with Ashampoo Burning Studio. It doesn't have a lot of useless "features" so your computer will not be loaded with something that you don't want. I tried this and it was excellent for me but now I use the free version. Maybe in future I'il have my licence for this version.

Hi, this is an excellent burning software. I like the ease of use, the verification functions, including for iso image burning and DVDs. The DVD mastering is not the best of the market but it's an essential feature to tranform all kind of important videos to DVD format. Count me in please. Thanks.

The words fire and burning can almost be used interchangeably. Whenever we think of the word burning the first thing that comes to our mind is destruction and chaos. We always have a negative feeling for burning. But the most of the time we forget the good side of the fire. Without the discovery of fire we may not have achieved half of the things which we have today. There is a fine line between this being an utility and a destruction and it is determined by the way we handle it and use it.

This led me to the thought that our computer can also be used for burning. No no, i din't mean it to be an alternate to a bunsen burner but i meant it can burn cds/dvds/blu-ray disks. Not that it can do it alone but with the help of Ashampoo Burning Studio it can certainly achieve that. So here also we see how the word "burning" is used in a constructive way.
So now we can safely say, not every burns are dangerous ..LOL.

I will not go into the facts on what Ashampoo Burning Studio can do because you already mentioned it. So as always i will thank you for this nice giveaway :).
