I have tried WinOptimizer, along with dozens of other free or paid optimizers in my line of work and have to say that I've not actually found anything outstanding about this offers EXCEPT....for it's price. If you guys are giving away a free license, who am I to say no. Have to just wait and see how this pans out.

A tune-up software is always a must to keep your pc in top order. Ashampoo winoptimizer is one of the best at its task. I really like the gui and also the explorer tweaks are a added bonus. Many tuneup programs do have a secure file eraser but nothing to recover files but ashampoo has it which makes it very good. Also it has light memory. I would surely like to win a key for this awesome program. Thnx softpedia.

A very wonderful day for me on my pc. Two birthdays at same time. I am talking about Softpedia and Ashampoo. Both are celebrating 10th and 12th birthday respectively. Ashampoo is elder but it does not matter at all. The great thing is that Ashampoo is distributing almost all products @ $12 till 12th of this month on the occassion of its birthday. But, I would like to get its "Ashampoo WinOptimizer" as a giveaway. Nowadays I have become a fan of softpedia and I really love it. I am checking daily about giveaways. So, as of today, one of the best and microsoft gold certified pc maintainer "Ashampoo WinOptimizer" is being offered. Last hour I just downloaded one, and tried its great features. It is very fast and smart. It cleaned my entire system and made a lot of space free. There were lot of junk and old files that were hanging up my pc. It fixed them all in a lightening speed. Its major feature is to repair the broken registry entries that could not be done manually. I got my all the partitions defragmented very well. It is also helpful in locking files and recovering deleted files very soon. There are also so many other features as well that would take time for me to understand them. This software can be used for 40 days without paying as trial basis. 10 days without registering and 30 more days if registered. what a nice span of time to use.

There are many programs that claim to speed up your system. This one really works!

i already use win optimizer and this is very good software i use very old version it is 5 so now i want to use the latest version and i am verythankfull of ashampoo and i am also using the ashampoo burner so i am a fan of ashampoo

Look at the features picture. When you realize that WinOptimizer performs all its tasks well, you realize that WinOptimizer is an excellent piece of software. The only thing you'll have to take care about is not to install the Ashampoo toolbar. It is a matter of unticking once when installing. Otherwise you only can become satisfied.

When I search for the term on my HDD I find at least a couple of pages.
Although I have un-installed few older versions of Ashampoo software, I still have 12 different products, one of them being WinOptimizer 6 which, by now, is about 3 years old.
This version's GUI it totally different form the version I have. Much easier to find tools and everything else.
According to Ashampoo, they had 7 major improvements over version 6 and version 8 has "more than a 100 improvements" over version 7. So, that's, AT LEAST, 107 IMPROVEMENTS OVER THE VERSION I HAVE. Too many to by pass!!!! I WANT IT! I NEED IT! I DESERVE IT!

I am using version 6 for a very long time now. I am very satisfied with it. Because I use old OS (XP SP3) I don not really feel need for a new version right now. But very soon I will upgrade to Windows 7 and it would be nice to upgrade this program too. For me this program, together with Glary Utilities and CCleaner, is a must have. Those programs are among the first that I install on a new computer.

Hi,great product.This is one of my all time favourites,just never had the dosh to buy it.
The one click button seems to work well and it has pro-active defragging which can be run in the background to speed up booting and hard drive usage;there's optimizing for most things you need to on a pc.
I have had quite a few Ashampoo products in the past and they seem to know what they're doing at this game.Only gripe is that you need to either untick to receive emails from them as they send quite alot,or you can customize what and how often they send you offers on your Ashampoo web page where all your licenses free and full are kept for you in case you lose them.They do send some good discounts sometimes.

I have always liked Ashampoo products and the WinOptimizer has never let me down. Glad it runs fine with Chrome now and cleans junk internet files let from that browser.

I run winmend now, but it isn't a full fledged suite. It appears that Ashampoo WinOptimizer 8 has just about everything you need to tune up a Windows machine

From my personal experience, Ashampoo products have never disappointed me till now. Let it be my favorite screenshot taking & sharing software- 'Ashampoo Snap' or the fastest defragmentation software on planet earth- 'Ashampoo Magical Defrag!'

Never tried 'Ashampoo WinOptimizer 8' because it offers comparatively less features & utility tools than its rivals like 'Tuneup Utilities' & 'Advanced System Care Pro'. Well, judging by the number of features (quantity) it offers, Ashampoo WinOptimizer8 clearly lags behind from most of its rival programs. But as long as the quality is concerned, I don't know whether it is more effective than the others.

If I win a license, I surely will give it a probe to check the performance it truely delivers ..

I've always been a fan of Ashampoo products, first being drawn in by Burning Studio. All of Asampoo's products are really very good. WinOptimizer is one of personal favourite software, but I've found it in some way inferior to TuneUp Utilities, bt this time around, in version 8 I presume, it's pretty neat, des everything I care about, modules are really exhaustive and nicely-working. I personally like Ashampoo Styler and Internet Optimizer modules more than the others, the latter gives me such control over settings that are relatively harder to access from elsewhere. Overall, might switch over to using WinOptimizer, if I win a free license.

Hello, At first Ashampoo Win Optimizer has a lot of functions to optimize your computer in one software! Nice interface!

Ashampoo makes high quality softwares. This is one of those. In one click you will optimize the whole system and then, automatically, in one sweep, run drive cleaner, registry cleaner and internet cleaner. The drive cleaner will sweep the drive more thoroughly than many other "drive cleaners". Look in the recycle bin after a sweep, and you will find a lot of redundant files! With this package you can easily reset and also change Windows settings, which are otherwise difficult to do. I for instance, sit alone with my laptop and it was really silly to "log in" every time I started Windows. That I, very easily, changed with this program! You can manage some of Windows own tuning tools. That is, also, easier to do with this software, because you have those tuning tools in one place! You have a spam blocker and a start up tuner, that is, you can edit which program you allow Windows to start up with. You can get information about your computer (disk space usage), wipe files that can not be recovered and split files and then join them for easier transportation through the internet, or other use. The program lets you to quickly defragment your hard drive. A lot of functions that will make your computer in good shape! The price is therefore okay and the program is really fantastic!

WinOptimizer is one of those Ashampoo products which I could trust with closed eyes.

I have tried & used Glary Utilities & TuneUp.

The latest version for WinOptimizer is 8.13 released 2011/09/30.

Strong Points:
1. An all-in one tool.
2. Internet Cleaner is good and works as expected with IE, FF & Chrome. Don't have any other browser.
3. Defragmentation module is good and adapted from their another product Magical Defrag. It supports boot-time defrag, unlike windows.
4. No words for Registry Optimizer as I DON'T MESS with registry.
5. It is multilingual.
6. One-Click Optimizer is ok and could be used as desired.
7. Scan time for Drive Cleaner was too long for my 454Gb (154Gb free) HDD.
8. Backup module is good to use.
9. Context Menu Manager was very useful to clean-up things.
10. Didn't notice anything going for Internet Tuner. No changes in utorrent speed.
11. DiskSpace Explorer worked quickly for my 454Gb (154Gb free) HDD.
12. The help file is good and easy to understand.
13. The service and startup managers are good for newbies.
14. I didn't check for uninstaller.
15. Pro-active defrag is good and very useful.
16. Live tuner is very similar to Tuneup's Live optimization, and is very good.

Shortcomings

1. No mention about 64-bit OS support for W7. Although thet mentioned about both 32 & 64bit Vista. Taking about the main product page.
2. It is not clear if the disk doctor is just the interface and if in background it runs the windows default check.
3. Source of Benchmark values is unknown.
4. Doesn't works without administrative rights.
5. No mention of minimum RAM requirement.

Suggestions
1. Ashampoo should provide an option to do a custom install, so that a user could skip certain modules. In my case I would skip complete File tools and Windows customization (minus Context Menu Manager).
2. Ashampoo doesn't clarifies clearly how the ratings for services are checked and controlled. It is entorely user based and could be misued. Example a malicious service could be rated good, resulting into false impression and causing damage. Therefore Ashampoo should themselves verify the ratings.

In summary Ashampoo WinOptimizer 8 (only version 8) is a must tool for any PC running any OS. It helps keep the system healthy to a good extent, without having the need to install various type-specific softwares.

Appreciate if you spare me a license for my use.

Wow, I love Ashampoo products! I have been using primarily Ashampoo WinOptimizer 6 & Ashampoo Burning Studio 2010 Advanced. Their products always perform admirably & have never let me down.
I use WinOptimizer 6 to primarily remove my tracks & keep registry fit & fine.
Since, AWO6 is an outdated version, its no longer supported by updates.
I would love to get one license for AWO8 to keep my system running at peak performance.

i think the software is a good one but it still has to be optimized not to delete files in the temporal partition when they are still being used by other softwares

Ashampoo WinOptimiser is an excellent product which ,used regularly, keeps your computer in tip-top condition and I would be really pleased if I was fortunate enough to get a license for WinOptimiser 8.

I am a fan of Ashampoo products and have been using them for years. All of their products are intuitive and easy to use. I'm using another version of WinOptimzer, but I'd like to win version 8 because of all the additional features it has. I particularly like the registry optimizer because it is accurate and effectively cleans the registry of 'junk'. I've tried similar software in the past, but they tended to delete needed registry entries and caused all kinds of application crashes and OS instability. Another WinOptimizer feature I like is the One-Click Optimizer. I can select the optimization modules I want to run and the one-click feature acts as a batch processor, running all the modules (using my settings preferences) with just one click. It makes it really easy to keep your system clean and running smoothly.
The features that are missing might be a driver updater and game optimizer, which few other well known system utility provide us.
And the feature which i found unnecessary are Icon saver and AntiSpy.
