- SH920 YK features a large swiveling display

By: Cosmin Vasile, Communications News Editor

Softbank, the Japanese-based company announced its new stock watcher Sharp clamshell codenamed SH920 YK.

The handset has been especially developed to ease online trading and clearly targets businessmen on the go. It has been fitted with a unique Stock Trading Key, which enables users one-click access to any trading application. Sharp's SH920 YK is compatible with a well-known online stock trading site called E*Trade.

The mobile phone enables users to make various trades directly from the handset, which is set up for a special portfolio view just like a PC. They can even get updates and the latest news in real time so that they won't miss a beat, even when looking at a specific stock. Also, there are some more unique feature that you'll discover onto 920SH YK: after-market and night trading.

The swiveling 3.2" Wide VGA LCD display offers users a fully enjoyable experience in a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. With improved resolution and larger screen size - making the most of the high-quality imaging technology developed for the AQUOS line of LCD TVs - this new mobile ASV LCD is always bright and vivid, even outdoors.

Those looking for some fun and relaxation can benefit from the phone's enhanced functionality supporting WMA and Global Roaming Service. Owners will be able to enjoy listening to songs (WMA format) they download using S! Music Connect and then transfer to their handsets. Furthermore, the clamshell supports 3G High Speed for the smooth downloading of high-volume content.

Other features of the phone include: Media Player, Bluetooth 2.0, Bar code reader, microSD slot card for memory expansion, Digital TV (One Seg), 3.2 Megapixel camera, video call capabilities and many more. Life expectancy of the battery is looking pretty cool by Sharp's statement: 330 hours (GSM) standby mode and 260 minutes (GSM) talk time mode or 300 hours (WCDMA) standby mode and 240 minutes talk time mode (WCDMA).
