Softbank, a top telecommunications and media corporation from Japan, has a new phone which goes under the name of Softbank 705p. The super-slim clamshell handset can be considered as a very serious alternative by the RAZR lovers all over the world, with its 101x50x14.8 mm size when folded and a weight of only 103 grams.

The device has two built-in cameras, a 1.1 megapixel CMOS one located inside and with an approximate effective resolution of 110.000 pixels, and an external CMOS camera of 2 megapixel, which has a 9.7x digital QQVGA photographic zoom and a 7.9x digital QCIF video zoom. The internal display of the phone is a 2.2 inch 260k 240x320 pixels TFT LCD and the external one is a 0.8 inch 96x25 pixels Organic EL.

Other pretty impressive features are the "one-push open" technology, which allows a easier flip-out movement of the phone, and its support for Adobe Flash files, which gives the users the possibility to personalize their phone with any kind of Flash movies or animations.

It also offers support for Chaku-Uta Full digital comic service, and for the Near Chat and Near Games services that provide the users the capability to communicate through instant messaging or play free-of-charge multiplayer games with other people through the included Bluetooth technology.

The info tell us that, for now, the phone will be available only in Japan, with no reference to the price at which 705p will be found in stores by the Japanese people.
