14 DAY TRIAL // Sad news for those of you who thought they really had a chance for romance with recently single Sofia Vergara. More and more sources in the press are saying that the feisty Latina is looking for consolation after she split up from fiancé Nick Loeb, and she seems to have found it in the arms of Tom Cruise of all people.
The real reason behind the split between Vergara and Loeb is still being disputed at this point. While an official statement from Vergara quoted a busy schedule as the main reason for the breakup, many people close to the former couple have been pointing a blaming finger on either Sofia or Nick.
Some mentioned that Loeb is at fault because he caused tension and embarrassment in the relationship when he tried to use Vergara to launch his acting career. However, some of his friends have blasted this rumor and claimed that the actress had been the one to blame because she was insufferable and bad-mannered.
We may never know the truth, but what we do know is that Vergara is not wasting any time crying over spilled milk. Let's face it, she's not getting any younger and in a place like Hollywood where 29-year-old women often find themselves obsolete, Sofia is somewhat of a dinosaur, albeit a very attractive one.
A source close to the actress revealed that she's getting real close to actor Tom Cruise: “He’s lifted Sofia’s spirits. She’s told Tom that he can take her out on a date. But . . . she wants to be wooed, and then some . . . There’s definitely a spark.”
Mind you, this is not the first time these two have been connected. There was widespread rumor that Sofia and Tom enjoyed a fling back in 2005, but the romance was never officially confirmed. But the fact that they have been connected before lends credibility to this new rumor. Also, the fact that both actors are single at the moment and looking for a partner seems to be a weird coincidence.
However, Page Six claims to have spoken to someone close to the matter and the person in question has slammed this story as utterly false. “They’re not going on any dates,” the source said bluntly, squashing this romance from the start.
Don't worry though, both Sofia and Tom are going to be just fine and we predict that each of them is going to find a partner in the shortest time possible, given that their busy schedules allow them to enlist in such activities.
