Socialcam for Android devices has yet to exceed the 5-million-downloads milestone on Google Play Store, but the application has already received quite a number of updates that bring lots of improvements.

Developed by Autodesk, Socialcam allows users to capture, share, and watch videos on their Android phones. There’s no limit to the video length and storage, and users can share them to Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

The latest update introduces even faster video upload. It also disables vintage filters on old phones, but this can be changed from the Settings menu. Various bug fixes have been added as well, but no additional details have been provided yet.

Socialcam 4.2.1 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.
