The social networking market seems to be one of the top attractions these days, as more and more companies get focused on this side of the industry. Today, another social networking service made its debut as Brad Hefta-Gaub, a former executive with RealNetworks and Revenue Science, and Phil Sabin, formerly with Revenue Science and Amazon.com, introduced Sweat365, the social network for athletes.

You're probably asking what's with this "for athletes" tag since the social network is a famous term on the web. I'll let Hefta-Gaub, Sweat365 chairman and CEO, explain it to you.

"Phil and I created this community as a practical, easy-to-use tool to help people achieve their fitness goals. Historically, at the beginning of the new year millions of people resolve to lose weight and get in shape, only to discover that keeping this commitment seems to get harder over time. As two former couch potatoes, now devoted to being healthy and fit, we decided to create an innovative environment that helps motivate and inspire people to change their lives for the better, through the support and encouragement of their peers."

Basically, this social network allows athletes to communicate and share their training schedules, training information, fitness tracking technologies, even calendars and all the things related to the fitness community. Pretty useful if you're one of those many athletes out there. Here's the opinion of Steve Hooper, Sweat365 member and partner at Ignition Partners:

"Sweat365 was the motivation I needed when I embarked on a brand new fitness challenge. The training tools on the Web site are easy to use and insightful, and the members are tremendously encouraging. Publicly declaring my fitness goals helps me stay accountable to my training schedule. Since joining Sweat365, I have trained for and completed my first half marathon and I have now set my sights on completing a full marathon. This has truly been a life-changing tool."

Before I get this article to look like a happy customer testimonial, go over to Sweat365, give it a spin, and let us know what do you think about it.
