In May this year, shortly after Katie Price and Peter Andre announced they were filing the necessary papers for a legal separation and then divorce, speculation started to make the rounds that they had actually set the entire thing up in a bid to get more publicity for their future business endeavors. As if to confirm said rumors, Katie is now back to Peter Andre, crying her eyes out and begging him to take her back, The Sun has learned.

As we also reported just recently, Price, a contestant on ITV’s “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here,” decided to quit the show for reasons that ranged from her being homesick to being quite unprepared to deal with the wave of memories that emerged when she returned to the jungle where she had first met Andre. Shortly after leaving the show, she also broke up with boyfriend Alex Reid who had flown to Australia specifically to ask her to marry him.

The reason behind the breakup seems to have been, The Sun says, that she was thinking of a reconciliation with Peter. She recently called him to apologize for being such a pain since the separation and reportedly admitted that, “I messed up.” The admission didn’t surprise Andre as much as what Katie had to say next did: namely that she wanted to get back together and see whether they could make their marriage work again.

“She said she was sorry for being such a [expletive] to him. She asked him straight out if there was any chance they could get back together and pleaded for a reunion. She was telling him she just couldn’t stop thinking of him and their life together. Katie told him she even dreamed of him at night but would wake up to realize he wasn’t there, and feel sad. She was being the Katie Pete fell in love with in the first place,” a friend of Peter’s says for the British tab.

Katie Price even went as far as to tell her now ex-husband that dating Alex Reid, a cage fighter who saw his share of scandal while romantically involved with her, had been a mistake for which she was extremely sorry. Andre, on the other hand, remained unmoved by his ex’s pleas for a reconciliation, the same source says for The Sun and even at one point wondered of her audacity to come up with such a request, especially after what happened between them in recent months.

“He just assumed she wanted to speak to the kids, which she eventually did. But then she came out with all this stuff about how she missed him and knew she had been an idiot. The idea of a reunion is not something Pete would even consider. They are divorced and that’s it,” the same friends further explains.
