The KDE edition of the Snowlinux 2 operating system was announced on June 20th, by Lars Torben Kremer.
Snowlinux 2 KDE is based on the Debian 6 (Squeeze) Linux distribution and it is powered by the Long Term Support Linux kernel 2.6.32.
The distro features old software, such as Chromium 6 web browser, Icedove 3.0.11 email client, and the KDE Software Compilation 4.4.5 desktop environment.
Snowlinux 2 KDE is available for download now (see link below) and it's distributed as Live CD ISO images for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
It is 100% compatible with Ubuntu's software repositories and it will be supported with security updated and patches until February 2014.
