First trailer for live action Snow White is incredibly promising, catchy

When word first got out that the they were making a live action film of Snow White, many believed this was another case of Hollywood messing with the classics. The first trailer of “Snow White and the Huntsman” proves that's not the case.

Starring Kristen Stewart as Snow White, Chris Hemsworth as Huntsman and Charlize Theron as Evil Queen, the film feels like a combination of “Lord of the Rings” and “Alice in Wonderland,” judging by the trailer alone.

Which, of course, is not at all a bad thing.

However, what most stands out from the trailer is the deliciously gorgeous and evil Evil Queen, who bathes in milk and sucks the souls of virgins to maintain her youth – and likes to stress certain words when she speaks, to sound more menacing.

Also notable is the fact that Snow White doesn't say a peep in the whole trailer, presumably because producers are saving the best for later – and she will get her chance in future trailers.

Hemsworth is also remarkable for the overwhelming physicality he has in front of the camera, same as in “Thor.”

Overall, even for skeptics, this trailer should look very promising. Yes, it has “Inception” music, but the action seems pretty wicked.
