Based on the original comic strip character created in 1950 by Charles Schulz, the movie about Snoopy is bound to be a massive hit in the US, where the newspaper column ran until 2000.

Now, the dog from the Peanuts comics, who has made a very profitable foray into real-life marketing, being plastered on all sorts of everyday objects, ranging from lunch boxes to T-shirts and wallpapers, is making a break for the big screen thanks to 20th Century Fox.

Of course, this isn't the first time that Snoopy becomes an animated character, as he was previously the star of his own cartoon series. Now, he's moving up in the world, as he is ready to star in his first 3D computer-generated animation, with the help of BlueSky Studio.

The teaser trailer is already out and shows the lovable dog getting mischievous and getting in the way of Charlie Brown, who looks as if he's ready to make an important announcement but he can't simply get a word out.

The animated production is directed by Steve Martino, who's previously worked on “Horton Hears a Who,” and has a script written by Craig Schulz, Brian Schulz, and Cornelius Uliano. Unfortunately for Snoopy fans, the movie isn't due out for release until November 2015.
