Snoop Dogg has a particularly soft spot for dogs. Suffice to say that he currently has eleven canine friends and will probably welcome others into his life in the not too distant future.

Like many other animal rights activists, the rapper believes shelter euthanasia and humane treatment of animals do not mix and match.

Hence his decision to team up with Dog for Dog and get behind efforts to put an end to the practice of killing dogs that, for one reason or another, are forced to live in shelters.

For those unaware, Dog for Dog is a company that not only sells dog food, but also promises to donate a bag of food for each one that is bought.

Both this company and Snoop Dogg say that, more often than not, lack of food is the reason shelter dogs are put to sleep. Therefore, the more people buy their products, the more dogs will be saved.

“Buy some dog food for your dog, and we’ll drop [an additional bag] off at a local shelter. You save a dog’s life,” Dog for Dog explains, as cited by Ecorazzi.

Now that he is partners with the company, the rapper will be feeding his pooches with Dog for Dog products alone.

He'll also do his best to spread the news about Dog for Dog's efforts to rescue shelter animals, and encourage others to follow in his footsteps.
