Snooki in Custody in Italy After Crashing into Police Car

Out of all vehicles in Italy to get into a fender-bender with, Snooki, star of MTV’s reality show “Jersey Shore,” picked a police car. The diminutive star crashed into a police car and was taken into custody for questioning, it has emerged.

As fans of the insanely popular reality show must know, the cast is now in Florence, Italy, shooting scenes for the upcoming season.

While there, they’re also doing that which has made them so famous, including drinking and partying. Luckily, the former was not a factor in Snooki’s most recent encounter with the police.

TMZ informs, citing eyewitness reports, that the star crashed her car into a police vehicle, but that she wasn’t drunk, contrary to what one may believe based on her past behavior. No one was injured.

“A witness tells TMZ, Snooki smacked her into the back of the patrol car, wedging her ride between the car and a highway protection wall,” the e-zine writes.

“The witness says Deena was in the passenger seat at the time of the crash – and when she tried to exit the car, she had to go through the window, because the door was blocked by the wall,” TMZ adds.

“A source connected to the production tells TMZ, although Snooki is in custody, it is not a formal arrest,” the publication further informs.

More than likely, she was taken into custody for further questioning. Photos taken at the scene of the crash show Snooki looking visibly upset, perhaps because she’d promised a judge back in the US never to get herself into any kind of trouble.

Last summer, Snooki was arrested for public intoxication and disturbing the peace. A judge let her go with only a fine and some hours of community work, but not before he lectured her about being “criminally annoying” and setting a very bad example to women all over the world.

“I was very embarrassed. This was not like me and I’ve never been in this situation before,” Snooki said at the time.
