Many don't have the highest opinion of Snooki but she wants people to know she isn't what she appears to be on the MTV reality show “Jersey Shore.” In a new interview with GQ magazine, the star, who is coming out with a third book soon, talks about being business smart but not that well-read.

Snooki, unlike many of her “Jersey Shore” co-stars, knows that her time as a reality star will soon come to an end.

As word online has it that MTV will cast the entire team of guidos and guidettes after season 5, Snooki is being smart about the money she's making now (an estimated $100,000 / €72,584 per episode) and is saving it.

Not the same can be said about others on the same show, she says.

“I save it. Jersey Shore is going to end soon. I’m not going to spend money like Mike [The Situation]. He’s already broke!” Snooki tells the magazine.

She also reveals that, while she's come out with no less than two (best-selling) books in a year, and is preparing a third, she doesn't like to read.

Books, Snooki underlines, are too long and, just because she's an author doesn't mean that she has to bother with them.

“I don’t read. I don’t like to read Harry Potter or anything like that. It’s not my style,” the reality star says.

“Yeah [I'm an author but it], doesn’t mean I have to read. We were supposed to read in high school but I never did because I just used the CliffsNotes, books were too long,” Snooki adds.

She is a veterinarian tech by formation and wouldn't say no to going back to get her license. At the same time, Snooki would love if she transitioned from reality television to movies or even scripted TV shows.

“I did cameos in two movies already that should be out next year but I would love to be on a sitcom like ‘The Office.’ I would have been the one to replace Steve Carell and take over. I could be a boss,” she says for the same publication.

Snooki's latest album is called “Gorilla Beach.” More on the interview here.
