14 DAY TRIAL // In early April, former hellraiser turned model mom and successful businesswoman Snooki, real name Nicole Polizzi, announced that she and fiancé Jionni LaValle were expecting their second child together, who would be born sometime in the fall, after their wedding.
It is just now that Snooki has found out the gender of her unborn baby, or at least that’s what she’d like her fans to think, judging from the video she just posted on her YouTube channel that you will also find embedded in full below.
Said vid shows her and son Lorenzo sitting in front of the stairs in the family home, getting ready to find out if they’ll be welcoming a baby girl or a baby boy in the family in a few months’ time. “Jionni knows what we're having, and he put balloons in a bin for [me and Lorenzo]. So we're going to find out what we're having right now, and we're so excited,” she says.
Lorenzo doesn’t really seem that excited but, then again, probably few kids younger than 2 would be, in the same situation. After Snooki lifts the lid on the bin, pink and red balloons come flying out, but she’s somewhat confused as to whether she should be thrilled about having a girl or not.
Some time ago, the pint-sized reality star said that she felt she wasn’t ready to have a daughter just yet, knowing how much trouble she was to her own parents. She also said she wanted to have another boy to break the family “tradition” of having kids of both genders.
“I'm not ready to have a miniature me. I don't need a diva telling me what to do. I'm not ready for that,” Snooki also said.
Her good friend and co-star JWoww (real name Jennifer Farley), who is also pregnant right now, feels the same about having a girl: she too had a very tumultuous youth and got into a lot of trouble, so she’d rather she didn’t go through all this as a parent, if possible.
Of course, her younger years were nothing compared to Snooki’s, who was officially the most party-loving, quickest to throw fists in a fight in the bunch. So, if she managed to turn her life around (which she did, in the most exemplary fashion) and reinvent herself completely, she will most definitely handle a baby girl.
