MTV’s reality show Jersey Shore was a complete mess, but it was so popular that it not only spawned an equally successful spinoff and launched the careers of its protagonists, but actually inspired a new “breed” of reality programming. The kind where women (and men) get drunk and belligerent, and make fools of themselves.

Nicole Polizzi, the pint-sized hellraiser going by the name of Snooki, is the first reality star to attain this kind of popularity by doing nothing but getting drunk and publicly embarrassing herself. In a new interview, in which she promotes a second pregnancy book she wrote, she estimates she must have downed enough alcohol to last 10 lifetimes.

Snooki emerges in the spotlight, is a completely different woman

In addition to being a reality star and a fashion designer (and beauty guru), Snooki is also a mother and new wife now. She’s written several books so far, and her latest is her second pregnancy-focused release.

It’s called “Baby Bumps,” and she explains in a new interview with E! News, it started off as a diary of sorts when she found out she was pregnant again.

Snooki and her husband Jionni LaValle have two children together: son Lorenzo, who is 2, and daughter Giovanna, who is 8 months old. The pint-sized star says she wants 4 kids in total, but she’s in no rush to actually deliver them into the world yet.

She also explains the ways in which motherhood has changed her, from making her more or less allergic to alcohol to shaping her relationship with Jionni. Snooki is looking forward for the summer, so she can chill at the beach or by the pool with her hubby and kids, but she’s also doing her research for her honeymoon, which they never got the chance to go on.

As you can see in the videos below, Snooki is now a completely different woman and that applies to her outward appearance as well: gone are the cheap extensions and heavy makeup, and even the gaudy fashion that she’s so fond of (and which she sells, by the way), and she seems to have toned down everything about her look considerably.

TMI, Snooki’s bread and butter

One thing that hasn’t changed is Snooki’s impressive game of hustle: she’s still trading in the currency of TMI (Too Much Information) to make a profit, regardless of whether that involves details of her love life or her take on motherhood.

You have to give it to her, though: for a reality star no one gave 2 dimes about because she was written off a drunk, stupid bimbo the moment she introduced her “persona” on TV, she’s done well for herself, crafting a business empire off her public image and personal life.
