It’s not for nothing that Snooki was recently saying she was looking for love in a businessman whose name preferably ended in a vowel: she is getting her own “Jersey Shore” spinoff series, a dating reality show.

The pint-sized star has officially landed her own show with MTV, which, of course, will see her trying to find true lasting love with some help, in front of the cameras.

Apparently, the decision to give Snooki (real name Nicole Polizzi) her own show was prompted both by her popularity and her inability to find a guy that is in it for more than the free publicity he gets for being with her.

The official announcement is yet to be made but, according to InTouch Weekly (via the Huffington Post), the show is a done deal and producers are already preparing to start working on it.

“Life is looking up for unlucky-in-love Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi – she’s getting her own dating show!” InTouch proudly announces.

Snooki’s two most recent romances have ended badly, with the star calling Jeff Miranda (the same guy who proposed to her on the cover of a magazine after weeks of dating) a “stalker” and ending the relationship with Emilio Masella amidst cheating rumors.

“‘They are set to make the big announcement any day now,’ an insider says, adding that viewers can expect Jersey-worthy drama on the Shore-to-be-hit. Snooki’s pals, like Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley, and even a variety of ex-boyfriends are slated to make appearances,” InTouch says.

However, the source doesn’t exclude the possibility of having the two ex-lovers on board as well. “One may try to win her heart back, and another may serve as a consultant,” dishes the spy.

As for what Snooki is looking for in a man, aside from the fact that his name needs to end in a vowel, “he needs to make me laugh,” Snooki says.

“If he’s not goofy and afraid to be a dork, I’m not feeling it,” says the diminutive star.

The other day, Snooki also confirmed for the media that she is writing her first book, a novel loosely based on real events from her life.
