Snooki and JWoww rose to fame on MTV’s Jersey Shore reality series, and they’re now getting ready to shoot the final season of their spinoff show. Production has hit a bump in the road after residents of a small community have decided they don’t want the former hellraisers around.

Although both women have changed a lot in recent months (with Snooki’s transformation being perhaps the most startling), residents of the Pelican Island community are still concerned about plans for them to move there to shoot for the series.

The New Jersey Ledger reports that the Pelican Island Property Owners Association is looking to meet with the Berkeley Township to discuss options as regards barring Snooki and JWoww – and MTV, implicitly – from carrying out their plan.

However, Snooki isn’t ready to give up without a fight.

She’s been very vocal about the issue on both Twitter and Instagram, writing that she has every right to shoot wherever she wants, specifically after putting her crazy, hard partying lifestyle behind her.

“Adults are trying to ban my son, fiancé and I from enjoying our summer at the shore. Grow up, get over yourself and move on,” she says.

“This is not how we should be treating one another. Absolutely sick and very sad. I pray for you. There's much bigger things to worry about in life than trying to ban my family from your neighborhood,” Snooki adds.

She’s also posted a video on her Celebuzz page, thanking her loyal fans for the never-ending support they’ve given her through the years.

The pint-sized reality star turned extremely successful businesswoman and busy mom believes that haters will always hate because they’re jealous – and urges her fans not to let them bring them down, no matter what.

MTV is refusing to comment on a project still in production, so it would not address the Snooki planned boycott.
