14 DAY TRIAL // Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has come a very long way from his early days in the movie industry. His latest film, “Snitch,” which just got a brand new trailer, will probably help him make a name for himself as a “serious” actor.

It claims the trailer is based on a true story (and it’s probably so, but only loosely) of a father who infiltrates a drug ring in order to get his son out of a 10-year prison sentence.
Opposite Dwayne stars Susan Sarandon as a very strict prosecutor, and Nadine Velazquez, Michael K. Williams and Jon Bernthal.
The trailer makes “Snitch” look like an above-average action flick, because there’s also plenty of focus on real acting. And yes, it does include a scene in which The Rock is almost crying.
“Snitch” arrives in theaters in February 2013.
