A never before heard, presumably new track from Lady Gaga, called “Animal,” has leaked online. The leak consists of only a snippet, but it’s more than enough for fans to be able to tell what the finished song is like.

This, of course, presuming “Animal” is a new track that will be included on Gaga’s upcoming and highly anticipated “Born This Way” album.

As AceShowbiz also notes, the track is upbeat and clubby, which would mean it would be a certified winner if it was new and was released on the new album.

There is also the possibility that the snippet is from a track that Gaga recorded back in the day when she wasn’t the superstar she is now, but fans incline to believe that’s not the case.

“In anticipation of Lady Gaga’s first single from her much-awaited album ‘Born This Way,’ a snippet of never-heard-before song called ‘Animal’ has just hit the web,” AceShowbiz writes.

Gaga herself announced she’d be releasing a new song on February 13, the day the Grammys will also take place. The coincidence of the leak and the upcoming release is too big to be ignored, some say.

“Making its way out via iLeaks, it’s a drum-driven song with mid-tempo beat,” the aforementioned e-zine says of “Animal.”

“There is no word on whether it is taken from recording session of the upcoming album which is due May 23, or simply lifted from a leftover pile,” the publication underlines.

“Regardless, fans are encouraged to hit the ‘like’ button on Facebook and unlock the full version of the song if it reaches a certain number of ‘likes’,” AceShowbiz says.

As for the album that will arrive this spring, Gaga has said on a number of occasions that will be darker and more political in tone than anything else she’s ever put out.

It is this precisely that makes some believe that “Animal” is a leftover track and not a new one. Listen to the snippet below and see for yourself.
