Earlier this week, confirmation came from the British media that the main stars of the “Harry Potter” franchise have shot the final scene for the second half of the last installment. “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” has been split in two parts that were shot back to back, though only the first will arrive in theaters this year. Of it, fans will get a new taste at this year’s MTV Movie Awards this weekend, MTV says.

The ceremony has made somewhat of a tradition of introducing new clips from the most hyped productions of the moment, and this year is clearly no exception. Aside from featuring an appearance from no other than the “Twilight” trio (Robert Pattinson, Kirsten Stewart and Taylor Lautner), who will present fresh footage from the upcoming “Eclipse,” the ceremony will also include a trailer for the last “Harry Potter.” To make matters even more interesting, new presenters and performers have also been announced.

“The MTV Movie Awards have a long-established history of bringing you sneak peeks of highly anticipated upcoming flicks, and this Sunday’s show is no exception. The star-packed show hosted by comedian Aziz Ansari will feature an exclusive, never-before-seen clip from ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1,’ the first half of the epic two-part finale in the ‘Potter’ film series, which will hit theaters November 19,” MTV writes. Part 2 is scheduled for release on July 15, 2011.

“Also at the show, which will air live on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET / PT from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, will be Snoop Dogg, who will drop his verse on Katy Perry’s first live performance of her summer anthem ‘California Gurls.’ And that’s not all. Joining the roster of presenters handing out the Golden Popcorn awards are Scarlett Johansson, Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Betty White, T.I., Jessica Alba, Michael Cera, Eva Mendes and Kieran Culkin,” the same media outlet further informs.

We were also telling you a few days back that stars Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint were photographed on location in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, with reports saying they had just wrapped shooting their final scene for “Harry Potter.” All three appeared visibly upset even when cameras were not rolling, which further seemed to confirm that their work on the long-standing and immensely popular franchise was over.
