Sunflex has been teasing its unu tablet ever since January. But recently the company has decided to re-baptize the slate and is now calling it the Snakebyte Vyper.

The slate should appear in the wild this December for a price starting at $200 / €148 a pop and will be made available from retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop and others, Liliputing claims.

What’s special about it is that it allows you to connect it to a TV screen via a docking station so you can remotely run your favorite Android apps and games.

Now let’s see what the slate actually offers. The Snakebyte Vyper features a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixel density. It draws power from a Rockchip RK3188 ARM Cortex-A9 quad-core processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM and packs ARM Mali 400 graphics.

Unlike most tablets, Sunflex has added the speakers in front of the tablet, not on the back, so the sound comes towards you, enhancing the whole audio experience.

Now let’s move on to the really fun stuff. For an extra $200 / €148, users will be able to purchase a Media bundle that includes a TV dock and a wireless remote.

If you have it in your heart to spend even more on accessories, meaning $250 / €185, you can get the so-called Gaming bundle which includes the above-mentioned goodies, plus a wireless game controller and travel pouch.

Once you have what you need, it’s very easy to get thinks started, just put the tablet into the dock and a message will appear onscreen asking if you want to keep viewing things on the tablet or not. So you have the option of watching stuff both on tablet and TV or TV only. Now you’re all set to begin playing.

Note that the Snakebyte Vyper allows access to the Google Play Store, so you’ll get to take advantage of all that app and game goodness. Keep an eye out for it in December.
