Created by designer Ben Wahrlich, the Snake Speakers are by far some of the coolest sound machines we've seen this year. Now, if you're a guy who is terribly afraid of snakes, these speakers might not be the best option, but if you have no issues with having two shiny metal cobras on your desktop, then you may be in for some really cool accessories. The first thought to cross our minds was how special these speakers look; they have a strong retro air, with their uber-simplistic appearance and the no-frills shaping, yet at the same time there is something very modern and futuristic about them, maybe because of their very neat and almost spartan design.

If “industrial” is your game, you'll surely appreciate the lustrous shiny mirror metallic finish of the Snake Speakers – this look could easily match pretty much anything, whether we're thinking about a contemporary, a post-modern or a more conservative décor.

But one of the coolest features of Ben Wahrlich's Snake Speakers is the fact that their stands are modular. In other words, they can be bent in almost any way you could dream of and will most likely stay this way until something new comes to your mind. That's why these speakers are a true goldmine for the home décor addict: their place and look can be altered infinitely and thus be a solid help when you plan to redecorate or simply change something about the way your room looks like.

The Snake Speakers can easily and quickly transform from neat and thin floorstanders to desktop or shelf units; even more, if you're skilled enough you could group these speakers two by two and transform your whole audio system into a meaner-looking, more alluring array. And if you feel like having these speakers hanging from your shelves, walls, or even ceiling lamp, nothing could ever stop you.

Unfortunately there are no detailed specs for the Snake Speakers and that's why we can't tell you about frequency range or power rating. Yet we dare say that these nifty speakers come with built-in rechargeable batteries and could connect wirelessly to your Bluetooth-enabled music sources; otherwise, wiring them would really kill all the thrill.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
