14 DAY TRIAL // A customer at a San Antonio Starbucks has encountered a snake slithering on the toilet in the men's restroom.
Bruce Ahlswede tells KSAT about finding the snake wrapped around the bowl. He originally thought he was being pranked, until seeing it moving and alerting staff.
"So we went back in and watched it as it slithered back and around and down underneath the rim of the bowl and right inside," he recalls.
The creature has been identified as a Texas rat snake, which can crawl up piping and end up in toilets. It is not venomous so the South Texas Herpetology Association cleared the cafe about potential risks for costumers.
Bruce and his wife Michelle say that they will be revisiting Starbucks, but they will be more cautious when using a restroom from now on.
