Choose your lunch weapons

It's really good to see that there are a lot of grown-ups out there who haven't forgotten about their inner child and are constantly delivering ways to help people bring out their childish and fun side. In fact, I guess that this inner child within us is one of the best things that could happen to us in spite of all the years passing by so fast; and since childhood itself is by definition a "somewhere in time" whose limits are given by imagination only, here are some things to get you to smile and make you happy.

Now, the "versus" above was not introduced to initiate a contest between the two sets of dinnerware but to underline their presence and the fact that you can actually choose between different ways to delight the child in you.

Lego is a name that speaks for itself: the small bricks and little men have stirred up the imagination of entire generations and became utterly popular because of almost endless combination possibilities, allowing young (and even older) "builders" to go pretty much anywhere in terms of modular design and shaping. Lego's constructive versatility has become a landmark for many designers and now it looks like it has come back in the tableware world, in the shape of the Snack & Stack utensils.

A spork (mixture between a fork and a spoon, of course), a knife and a spoon like any other similar thing, but with a Lego handle, which allows you to keep them together quite easily, by simply clamping it; thus they will also take less space in your luggage when you’re going out, they look fun and they’re even usable as toys. While 6" long, they can go anywhere from glove compartments to lunchboxes; dishwasher safe, the Snack & Stack set goes for under $17.

The "mechanical" version of the bespoken tableware is the Wrenchware set: perfect for those who love food and tools as well. This metal dinner set comes in both child and adult size, 6" long for kids and 8.5" for grown-ups, and both versions come in a blow-molded ABS case, with a mechanic-approved look and feel. Made from forged steel, the Wrenchware dinner set can be used for easy operations around the house, even if the knife-mounted pliers won't actually clasp. The Wrenchware retails for $26.99. Well, what's your specialty? Stacking or bolts and nuts?

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
