Despite an increasing market demand for mainstream, affordable computer systems, such as netbooks, nettops and low-power PCs, Smoothcreations appears to continue to roll out new custom PC configurations, ready for high-end gaming and featured with the custom artwork the company is already known for.
One of their latest systems, dubbed Reaper i7, comes to provide gaming users and PC enthusiasts with a Core i7-powered rig that should pack a real performance punch. In addition to the high-performance hardware components, the new system is also featured with a custom-painted design, increasing the “cool” factor of the overall system.
“The Reaper i7 vs design makes it easy to go to those LAN parties without having to lug heavy PC equipment around,” said Mario Gastelum, Product Marketing. “Every Reaper i7 vs system is custom painted and serialized. We don’t outsource our painted artwork like some of our competitors – by sending their customers PC cases to a car paint shop, Smoothcreations maintains inhouse our own design team,” he added.
According to the company, the new Reaper i7 is the spawn of a collaboration between Smoothcreations and Gaming Guru, Cameron Wilmot of Tweaktown, BFG, Corsair Memory, Intel and Silverstone. The system is designed to boast the computing power of Intel's Nehalem-based Core i7 940 CPU, coupled with some BFG GeForce GTX 280 graphics cards, for an optimum gaming performance. In addition to the high-end components, the Reaper i7 from Smootcreations comes with a custom-painted exterior, boosting the cool factor of the overall rig.
Smoothcreations claims that Reaper i7 has been designed for PC enthusiasts and gaming users who want a high-end desktop computer system that isn't as high on pricing. The Reaper i7 is said to be part of the company's sub $2,700 product lineup, with a price tag that starts at $2,600.
