Hi-Rez Studios officially launched their not-quite-typical multiplayer online battle arena game Smite on March 25, and, as if there weren't already enough deities to choose from, they just added another mythological creature from the Hindu pantheon.

Kumbhakarna, The Sleeping Giant, is the latest addition to the roster of available gods, delivering some mighty groggy action to the mythical cage fight action.

The Hindu god may not be the smartest, prettiest or even the most awake of the gods, but his arsenal of moves is powerful nonetheless.

When he reaches zero health, he does not merely die like all the other gods do, but instead goes into a deep slumber, waking up at a quarter health and mana after a while, unless he is hit by a certain number of attacks in the meantime.

His arsenal is completed by the ability to throw back enemies, smash the ground and root his foes, as well as some... well... godly yawning that mesmerizes his opponents.

The champion reveal is accompanied by a nice video recounting his backstory and showcasing his abilities, as well as showing how he can be useful to the team in various in-game engagements that highlight the best use of his moves.
