14 DAY TRIAL // South Koreans have a new fad, the corner of the lip surgery. The “smile lipt,” a term resulting from a combination between “lip” and “lift,” is currently very popular.
While the surgery leaves you looking a bit like the Batman character Joker, many are flogging to get the corners of their mouths lifted.
The video posted above shows that facial muscle strength affects whether your lips are lowered or not.
The fad has become known to the world outside South Korea thanks to a Reddit post. About 16,500 people upvoted the odd image of a girl which appears to be smiling, when in fact she might not be.
The operation basically adds a curl to the outer corners of your lips and gives you a wider smile which is associated with Caucasian looks.
