To come next year

Motorola has presented four new mobile phones in Amsterdam, along with the promise of releasing them next year. The handset producer also presented the phone line-up for this Christmas, although the perspective devices were most impressive.

Motorola clearly wants to catch up with the leading mobile phone producers and it looks like they have the right strategy. The company plans on releasing a breakthrough handset equipped with an 8 megapixel camera, under the name of Motorola Skarven. That is not going to break any world record, as Samsung SCH-B600 still holds it, with its 10 megapixel camera. Still, the Skarven phone will surely make a difference if compared to other camera phones out on the global market, as the rest of them manage to bring only 5 megapixels of power.

The phone will also have a large 2.8 inch 16 million color display and "banana slider" form factor. It will also have an excellent resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, which should make it one of the best looking such devices out there. Motorola Skarven will also include Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS, for making sure that the user always finds his/her way.

The other camera phone that Motorola presented on this occasion was the X PIXL one, which will have a 5 megapixel camera included. The handset has some tough competitors to stand against as far as capture quality is concerned, including Nokia N95, Samsung G600 and G800, as well as Sony Ericsson K850i. Still, the most important one should be the Skarven phone, coming from the same producer as the X PIXL one, as it has high chances of blowing them all out in space.

Motorola has presented these phone models in Amsterdam in order to reassure its fans that it is not slaking and has some impressive concepts heading towards a sure release. The two handsets have high chances of hitting the market at the beginning of 2008.
