Gadget insurance company Protect Your Bubble has released a clever infographic to detail the worst US cities when it comes to loss and theft of smartphones.

It turns out that you’ll most likely lose your phone – by misplacing it or by being stolen by thieves – in Philadelphia. The city is followed by Seattle, Oakland, Long Beach, Newark, Detroit, Cleveland, Baltimore, New York and Boston.

Another interesting fact related to this topic is that 113 devices are lost or stolen every minute in the United States.

Where do people lose their smartphones? Apparently, at fast food restaurants, pharmacies, grocery stores, coffee shops and even at the office.

In Los Angeles, smartphone theft rate increased by 32% in the first quarter of 2012. In Chicago, on the other hand, 120,000 phones are lost each year in taxicabs.
