The 32-inch SP3200WF

It's not the first time SmartParts introduces a very wide digital photo frame, but it would seem that the company has taken things a bit too far this time. And that's because the newly announced SP3200WF model has a diagonal size of no less than 32 inches, which makes it larger than most PC monitors or even LCD HDTVs currently available on the market.

The device displays one's digital photos at a 1366x768 pixel resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio, but it's also compatible with other file formats as well, as for example Motion JPEG AVI and WMA files, PowerPoint slides, PDF files, and most picture and graphic files, which makes it a more or less useful tool for business or retail applications.

Moreover, the design of the digital frame (and especially its natural wood frame with espresso finish and museum quality beige mat) makes it suitable for most venues. Similar to all the other digital picture frames on the market, the SP3200WF supports SD, MS, and Compact Flash memory cards and is accompanied by an RF remote control with 100ft operating range.

The SP3200WF is quite easy to use even by anyone with relatively limited technical experience. One of the reasons is that it's fully compatible with Microsoft’s Windows Live Photo Gallery application, which makes it easy for consumers to share and view photos online or directly on their wireless SP3200WF digital picture frame.

Furthermore, the setup process is a very fast and easy one, since the SP3200WF can automatically recognize and connect to a wireless router, without the need to manually enter one’s wireless encryption key.

The SP3200WF runs SmartParts’ exclusive OptiPix Pro software, which is designed to help consumers locate, optimize and wirelessly transfer pictures to their frame from their computer. Furthermore, OptiPix Pro will not alter consumers’ original photos, since it will first create copies that are then optimized and transferred to the frame, leaving the original, untouched photo residing on the computer.

Unfortunately, there's no word on the pricing or availability of the SP3200WF just yet, but no matter how affordable this thing will prove to be, it's not very likely that it will enjoy the same level of success as its smaller and more practical counterparts.
