Nvidia believes that small form factor PCs can be a great alternative to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next-gen consoles, as more and more gamers are enjoying PC exclusive experiences nowadays.

Both Sony and Microsoft have formally released their next-gen consoles, the PS4 and Xbox One, respectively, in many countries around the world this month.

Seeing as how both devices use AMD hardware, Nvidia has decided to back PC gaming and continue to hype up its importance.

While talking with MCV, Nvidia's Matt Wright has revealed that small PCs can certainly rival next-gen consoles.

"We are proposing small form-factor PCs to be a viable alternative to the next-gen consoles. Enthusiast players want the ultimate games system and that is the PC," he said. "The PC platform is far superior to any console when it comes to gaming, plus you get all the extra functionality that a computer brings."

In order to ensure this growth, Nvidia pledges to help make PC gaming as simple to understand as possible.
