Sly Is Not Aging that Well

Just to begin with, we must say that we really (like, really, really) like Sylvester Stallone, not for what he is doing right now, but more for what he used to do in the past. I mean, we all grew up watching 'Rambo' and 'Rocky' and this kind of memory tends to stick with you for the rest of your life, no matter how crappy or of poor taste it is.

Recently, we were telling you about the trailer to 'Rocky VI' or 'Rocky Balboa' and, aside from the fact that it's an obvious attempt at reviving a sagging career, we were also telling you that Sly isn't looking that good. As a matter of fact, he seems to be aging in one year what others age in five and that can't be good when your 60, can it?

The famous actor made a special appearance at the Miss Italia 2006 beauty pageant and, by the look of this picture, it should have been the last place to go for him. Besides being 60, Sly is also the perfect example of celebrity who refuses to age naturally. Only that he fell in the other extreme, that which includes stars that are willing to do almost anything to preserve their youthful appearance, just like Michael Douglas and Mickey Rourke.

All that Stallone managed to do was, similarly to the latter actor mentioned, was to become a replica of the way he used to look and to create the impression that his face is about to melt right under our very eyes. We must say, it's not looking good and the fact that he is beginning to look very much like his mother Jackie (known for the many plastic surgeries she had over the years), is not at all in his favor.

While we understand that image is everything in today's showbiz, we still say that, at one point, you just have to know when to let go. It would save many celebrities out there the embarrassment of being permanently mocked for their failed surgeries...
