Users can wirelessly archive personal media from their phones with SlingSync

SlingPlayer has just released a new update for its client aimed at Android smartphone users. The latest version of SlingPlayer offers a few new features and improvements, which will improve user overall experience.

First of all, Android users will now be able to wirelessly archive their personal media from the smartphone with SlingSync. This feature is available for Slingbox 500 and requires and USB storage to be attached.

Developers also introduced a new audio only mode for listening to favorite shows on the move with Slingbox 500, PRO-HD, or SOLO. There is also the option to share to Facebook a screen capture of video that one is watching. Obviously, some bug fixes have been included as well.

SlingPlayer for Phones 2.4.2 is now available for download for $14.99/ €11.99 via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
