AT&T brings high performances with two new handsets

AT&T has just announced that they will be offering Samsung a717 and a727 phone models too from now on. These ultra-slim handsets are modern devices that respond to high standards in design and performance, too.

The two handsets "are packed with the advanced features our customers demand and are stunning additions to our growing portfolio of 3G devices", said Carlton Hill, vice president of product management for AT&T's wireless unit.

The Samsung a717 and a727 are rather practical-looking than elegant phone designs. Even more, they will most probably fail to stand out when it comes to appearance, but their performances will definitely compensate for that.

These new phone models fully deserve the title of smallest handsets currently available at AT&T, considering the fact that the a717 model has 12.9 mm in thickness and the a727 one goes down to only 8.9 mm. This is even more impressive when taking into account the fact that both these handsets are 3G enabled.

The two phone models will also support several services provided by AT&T with multimedia entertainment content. They offer AT&T Mobile Music, Cellular Video, MobiTV and MobiRadio access. One special feature is that the two phone models will also support the Video Share service. This means that the users will be able to add video stream to a standard voice call by using 3G.

Other features for these mobile phones reveal the fact that they also provide Mobile email services and allow connectivity through Bluetooth. Even more, the a717 handset comes equipped with a 2 megapixel camera, whereas the a727 one has a 1.3 megapixel performance. Still, this proves to be enough for taking pictures of considerably good quality.

Samsung SGH-a717 will be available starting June 4th this year for the price of USD 150, whereas Samsung SGH-a727 will come sometime in the next few weeks and will cost USD 100.
