The Blog Search engine included in Blogger

Once in a while, Google tries to improve its search engine with new functions to make the technology even more powerful and attractive. As you surely know, Google owns more than a single search technology, allowing users to search for many types of information such as news, websites, videos, jobs and even blog posts. Related to blog search, the search giant updated Blogger's search technology with some slight but important changes able to make the search results more relevant to the keyword.

"Attention blog searchers: if you use Google Blog Search from within Blogger, you'll notice some slight changes to its look and feel - it was just updated today to be more consistent with the Google styling, and it tested much better in the usability lab. It also means new functionality for the Blogger look 'n feel, notably the date-restrict options in the sidebar. For example, "earthquake san francisco" restricted to March 1st will tell you about the earthquake that just happened, and "snow south lake tahoe" restricted to Feb18-28 reveals some pretty excited people," the Google employees mentioned in a blog post.

As you know, Google had numerous attempts to expand the power of the main search engine into multiple categories such as Google Desktop for the offline users or Google Mini for enterprise customers. It is quite interesting that Google now aims to improve Blogger because the service was not too promoted in the last period. Recently, I wrote an article about another improvement for the blog product that displays a notification for all the blogs flagged as harmful by multiple readers of the articles. If you want to try the improved blog search engine recently released by Google, you should click on this link.
