SliTaz 4.0 should be able to boot in 10-12 seconds, depending on the user's hardware. With its new 4in1 ISO feature, anyone can install a full SliTaz desktop, with only 48MB of system RAM.
The new distribution is said to have two years of community work behind it. It features an even shorter boot time than ever before and it comes with 1000 new installable packages.
SliTaz 4.0 also comes with an LXD desktop and Openbox, which run entirely in 192MB RAM. Tazpanel now has a new centralized management system, and the increased numbers of packages has no discernible effect on the distribution speed.
