Sleeping Dogs, the open-world brawler and action game from developer United Front Games and publisher Square Enix, has managed to once again lead the United Kingdom video game chart.

The game is number one for a second successive week for the period that ended on September 16, after being dethroned for a seven-day period by Guild Wars 2, the MMO from ArenaNet.

This is likely to be the last week at the top for Sleeping Dogs, considering that gamers can buy both Borderlands 2, the shooter from Gearbox and 2K Games, and Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 before the next United Kingdom chart is compiled.

The first new entry of the week is Tekken Tag Tournament 2, the fight game from Namco Bandai, which has managed to get second place, while the last position on the podium has been taken over by LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, from Warner Bros Interactive, which gains two places.

New Super Mario Bros 2, from Nintendo for the Wii, has slid down just one position in order to settle in fourth while London 2012: The Official Video Game from SEGA is still lingering in the top half of the United Kingdom top ten, basking in the afterglow of the real-world competition.

The Sims 3: Supernatural, an expansion that adds vampires and witches to the life simulation from EA Sports, has also dropped four positions in order to reach sixth place, while Guild Wars 2 goes down by another place to arrive in seventh.

Dead Island Game of the Year Edition from Deep Silver is rooted to eight place and the newly launched NHL 13, a hockey sim from EA Sports, is in ninth.

The final place in the United Kingdom top ten, which is due for a significant shake-up next week, is occupied by Max Payne 3.
