A new flavor of the Slacker Radio is now available for download for the owners of Android-based smartphones and tablets, namely version 4.0.

The new app iteration arrives on devices with a brand new interface, aimed at providing users with an updated experience on their handsets.

The new release was complemented by the availability of Slacker Radio on BlackBerry 10 devices, and should be followed by the release of a Windows Phone 8 client in the not too distant future, the company reportedly announced.

The new, redesigned Slacker Radio 4.0 for Android can be found on this page on Softpedia, with appealing new looks and support for a great deal of music genres and stations.

On the downside, however, is the fact that there’s no support for expanded notifications, which means that users will have to open the app to control their music.
