One new application that the owners of a webOS Palm handset (including the Pre, Pixi, Pre Plus and Pixi Plus) will certainly enjoy is the Slacker Radio, which has been just released for these devices. According to the company, the new app should be already available for download and purchase via the Palm App Catalog, yet those interested in it can also find it on the company's website.

Among the features of the new Slacker Radio for Palm webOS app, the company notes:
- Music library featuring millions of songs
- High-quality stereo playback from any available wireless connection
- Create custom artist stations based on artists or songs
- Over 120 professionally programmed and customizable genre stations
- View artist biographies and photos
- View album art and read reviews
- “Peek Ahead” artist and album preview
- Rate songs as favorites
- Ban songs and artists from stations

With the new application, the owners of a Palm Pre, Palm Pre Plus, Palm Pixi or Palm Pixi Plus can listen to free personalized radio, the company mentions. This means that one will receive access to millions of songs from thousands of artists, and that the discovery of new artists is at hand. There are more than 100 expert-programmed radio stations available via the application, and users should be able to find the one station that suits them better for sure.

Jonathan Sasse, senior vice president of marketing at Slacker, commented on the new launch, “Slacker offers music lovers an effortless way to discover and enjoy music on their computers, smartphones or through their home entertainment devices. Our free app for Palm webOS enables music fans play their favorite Slacker Radio stations wherever they go.” Those interested in trying the application will find it available both as a free download and as a paid app, and should know that the service is free. As stated above, it can be found either in the App Catalog or on the company's website here.
