Video game publisher and hardware developer Nintendo has announced that the Special Edition for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which is set to be released on November 20, will include a gold Wii Remote accessory.

This bundle will set a player back 69.99 dollars and Nintendo says that there will be no other way of getting the gold controller.

The company also says that the first print run for Skyward Sword will come packaged with an exclusive audio CD that includes some of the orchestral music performed during the anniversary 25 year Zelda concerts.

The golden Wii Remote is presumably designed to make the Legend of Zelda bundle more attractive and to spur sales of Nintendo Wii hardware, which have been hit by slowdowns during the last year.

It's unclear how fans of the Zelda franchise, which have been long waiting to get a full blown release for the Wii, will react to the possibility of getting a golden Wii Remote to use with the game.

The bundle might have been more attractive if it had included a remote that was branded with Zelda symbols.

Nintendo has also announced that the 3DS will get a new Tetris installment called Axis on October 2 and that the normal DS line will get access to Professor Layton and the Last Specter, a puzzle title, on October 17.

Nintendo needs big video game launches in the final three months of the year in order to push up the sales numbers for both the Wii and the 3DS during the crucial Christmas shopping season, when the company makes most of its money.

Nintendo is also working on the new Wii U home console, which might get a launch price at the upcoming Tokyo Games Show and will be launched during 2012, with most analysts saying that it will be on sale during the summer months.
