The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim won't receive any new downloadable content or major updates, as Bethesda has just announced that it's moving its whole team to a new project within the studio.

Skyrim came out back in November of 2011 and impressed millions of gamers from around the world. After its release, Bethesda supported it with many updates and patches, not to mention new downloadable content and the complex Creation Kit designed for modifying the game.

Now, Bethesda has confirmed on its blog that the whole Skyrim team is moving onto a new project within the studio, which means that there won't be any more downloadable content for the game.

Smaller updates will still appear from time to time, but fans shouldn't expect any more support for the game.

Bethesda hasn't revealed any details about its next project, but it mentioned that the new game "requires the studio’s full attention to make it our biggest and best work yet."

According to recent rumors, Bethesda's next game will be Fallout 4.
