Bethesda has clarified last week's announcement that it would no longer be working on new content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

As such, it says that smaller updates could still appear in order to solve critical bugs, but no new features will be added.

Skyrim came out in 2011 and impressed millions of RPG fans from around the world with a huge open world and lots of great mechanics.

After the release of three different add-ons, in the form of Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn, Bethesda confirmed last week that it was moving on from the project and that no new features or content would be released for it.

Speaking in the comment section of the original article, the studio mentions that only necessary updates to solve critical bugs are going to appear.

What's more, seeing as how the game is now "feature complete," no new mechanics will be added to the RPG.

The studio also emphasizes that no planned DLC was scrapped, as Bethesda released everything it wanted to make for Skyrim.
