Video game developer and publisher Bethesda has announced that it plans to launch a new patch for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim shortly, fixing many of the bugs and the glitches that gamers have been reporting since last week's Friday launch.

Peter Hines, who is the main executive in charge of public relations at Bethesda, has tweeted that, “We are continuing to work on an update for all platforms to address issues any bugs and issues we can.”

He added, “We will fix as much as we can for your platform. I don’t know if it will fix ‘your’ bug. Takes a while to test/fix/regress. Hang in there.”

The executive also emphasized the fact that it has only been a couple of days since Skyrim has been released all over the world and that the company has already launched one day one patch that fixed a big number of problems.

He urged fans of the series to enjoy the game and wait patiently for the patch and see whether it fixes their particular problems before complaining some more about them.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an open world game and the complex nature of the gaming world means that it's almost inevitable to see some weird things, like dragons riding horses or corpses that seem to fly out in the atmosphere.

There are a number of glitch compilations that gamers have create using the game and more are added to YouTube every day.

Bethesda has not said whether the new patch will fix the gold exploit that has allowed some players to avoid the in-game economy in their quest for unlimited health.

Skyrim has managed to be somewhat more solid on launch than previous games that Bethesda published, like the Fallout series, but there's still room for some improvements in the upcoming patch.
