Bethesda has confirmed that update 1.6 for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is going to bring an array of new features, including Mounted Combat, allowing players to execute attacks while on horseback.

Skyrim came out last year for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms and, since then, Bethesda has released all sorts of updates for the game in order to eliminate bugs and to implement features, like the new kill cameras or the Kinect support for the Xbox 360 version.

Now, with the upcoming patch 1.6 for Skyrim, Bethesda has confirmed that a major new mechanic will be added: Mounted Combat.

After the launch of the update, players will finally be able to execute attacks, either melee or ranged ones, while riding on their trusty horses through Skyrim.

You can check out the rest of the things included in Skyrim patch 1.6 below.
