The development team at Bethesda has some good news for all PlayStation 3 gamers who have bought Skyrim: the 1.8 patch for the open-world role-playing game and the three downloadable content packs launched so far are certified by Sony in North America.

An official Facebook update from the development team states: “PS3 1.8 Update and all 3 DLC have passed Sony America cert . We’re also finalizing certification for EU. Waiting to hear the exact dates.”

Patch 1.8 for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has already been launched on the PC and the Xbox 360, bringing a number of fixes for the game and prepping it for the introduction of the new Dragonborn DLC.

Skyrim was one of the best titles of 2011 and Bethesda continues to support it with new content.
