The new update is set to appear today on the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live

Bethesda has just confirmed that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the Xbox 360 will receive the long awaited patch 1.4 later today, while the PlayStation 3 edition will get it sometime this week.

Skyrim impressed legions of gamers from all over the world across platforms like the PC, PS3 or Xbox 360. Sadly, it had quite a few issues on all of them, so Bethesda’s been trying to solve them through several patches.

Now, after being released for the PC last week, Skyrim update 1.4 is scheduled to appear later today on the Xbox 360 console.

The announcement was made by Bethesda’s Vice President and Head of PR Pete Hines on Twitter, saying that the newest patch for Skyrim on the Xbox 360 is set to go live today.

PlayStation 3 owners will have to keep waiting for their version of the update, as it’s still being tested by Sony itself. Hines confirmed that, when a concrete release date is known, it will be shared with PS3 Skyrim users.

Here are the things that will be included in Skyrim update 1.4 on the Xbox 360, based on the changelog revealed by Bethesda several weeks ago.
