Bethesda has already said that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is set to be launched on November 11 and the team seems determined to make the time go faster for fans of the series by releasing caches of information about the new experience and about the dragons, one of its centerpieces.

A new article in the Official PlayStation Magazine has the developers at Bethesda saying that all the dragon encounters that will happen in the game world are completely unscripted, with each dragon acting according to internal logic, reacting to the circumstances he finds himself in.

It also seems that taking dragons out of the sky is the key to fighting game, allowing the player to face them on his own ground, able to target them more easily.

The OPM article also talks about three new Dragon Shouts that the player character can use: “Yol Toor” - fire breath, “Iiz Slen” - ice crystals and “Strun Bah Qo” - lightning storm.

Another big reveal is that players are able to use torches not just to light their way through dark caves but to fight off enemies, using them in conjunction with a weapon, just a shield or a hand devoted to magic use.

The developers have also confirmed that the player will be able to align himself with the College of Winter Hold, as long as he likes the mage role, with the warrior Companions, the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will not only be more expansive in terms of gameplay and Bethesda says that more than 60,000 lines of dialog for the game, 50 percent more than in Fallout 3, which had a big world and a lot of quest lines.

The article also makes it clear that players will be able to use the Morrowind pioneered transport system, which uses carriages, but that horses will also be available for those who want to take in the scenery while moving.

More details about Skyrim will probably be offered at E3.
